Story
Winnie is an 'all blue' bluetick coonhound. She's a young hound who's always ready for playtime - gets along great with other dogs and is curious about meeting new people. She can be a little tentative in new situations. Winnie would be great as a playmate for another young dog, or with an adopter who can give her plenty of exercise. She will need a secure fence at least 5 ft high as she can be an escape artist! She is quiet and housebroken. Winnie is about a year old and weighs 51 lbs. It's hard to capture her beautiful blue-ticked coat in photographs. Winnie has arrived and is ready for visits. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below. Story
Barkis is a handsome bluetick coonhound who is looking for the right home. He's about 3 years old and weighs about 50 lbs Barkis is an affectionate and living companion with medium energy requirements. He currently enjoys his fenced yard and frequent walks. Barkis has been living in a foster home for most of the last year. He's housebroken and has good house manners. Barkis has undergone a lot of training while at his foster home. He has learned to greet people gently and knows several obedience commands. Barkis' trainer is offering a free initial training session to get Barkis off to a good start in his new home. The ideal home for Barkis would be in a country or suburban setting with a yard, with an adopter who is hound experienced and can offer structure and routine. Barkis is currently located in north central Connecticut and is available for visits. If you’d like to apply to adopt, please submit an application using the link below.
