Story
Dory is a female hound mix estimated at 9 years young. An interesting combination of spunky and spacey, this gal doesn't let her age slow her down. She does well with other dogs & cats and tends to mesh well with anyone around her. Dory does just fine with all ages of kids in her space. She loves romping in the yard with her foster siblings and it would be ideal if she had a fenced in yard to be able to use her hound nose on a regular basis. Dory does love a neighborhood stroll though! When excited, she can be vocal, but at the end of the day- prefers a cozy home and bed to fall asleep on. Dory did test positive for heartworms and has begun treatment already! I came to NC Seaside after my owner passed away. I am very sweet and affectionate! I love to play tug of war with my rope and I love to run after tennis balls. I love dogs but I know I am not a fan of cats. I would do well in a home that had older kids who can learn how to be respectful of my space.
