**🐾 Seeking a Special Adopter or Foster for Kai 🐾**
Everyone, meet **Kai** — a loyal, loving, and *very* smart boy who's looking for a patient and experienced home. 💛
We believe Kai is a **Malinois-Catahoula/Cattle Dog mix**, which means he’s incredibly intelligent, driven, and will thrive in the right environment. But he's not your typical "adopt and go" kind of pup — Kai needs time, patience, and understanding to warm up to new people and surroundings. He’s not one for busy adoption events (he gets nervous and barks/growls at strangers), so we’re hoping someone can see *past that tough exterior* and recognize the amazing companion he is.
🐶 **About Kai:**
* Needs a few days to warm up to new people — trust is everything to him
* Would do best in a home with fewer dogs (ideally one other older but playful dog)
* *Not a fan of cats* but has tolerated mine without aggression
* Curious about kids, but hasn’t had much exposure
* Not crate trained, but housebroken and uses a dog door
* Rough-and-tumble player, loves toys, chews, and gives gentle nips when excited
* Very food motivated and learns fast — training would be a breeze for the right person!
* LOVES the idea of being your ride-or-die truck dog 🛻❤️
We love him dearly, but we have too many dogs to give him the focus he truly needs. Kai would thrive with someone who *knows and appreciates working breeds* — someone who sees the loyalty and brilliance behind his shy, protective exterior.
