Nintendo came to us when his previous owner had health concerns that significantly limited how much time and attention Nintendo was getting, and his young dog needs were not being met.Nintendo was very insecure when he first arrived, quite confused about the changes in his life, but recently he has started to show us what a friendly, funny guy he is! He lived with small dogs in his prior home, and was reported to be very playful with them. He hasn`t had the chance to meet any dogs his own size here yet but in the distance, he seems to not care too much of others presence or is unsure of a new canine friend. In his prior home he has only been around adults. He has recently met a family at CVHS and did not enjoy the presence of small children, so no kids or older children for him in his next home. He has never seen cats.Nintendo would probably do best in a relatively calm home, but with someone who can give him outlets for his energy, such as long sniffy walks, food puzzle boxes, and slow introductions to new life adventures. He does love the sound of his own voice, and can throw out a hearty hound bay, so apartment living won`t make sense for this guy.A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Nintendo`s $350.00 adoption fee. Story
Tauro has had a traumatic past and his transport from the south was not ideal. He is a very gentle and loving 4 year old catahoula/pit mix. He loves people, children and dogs. He will chase/play with a cat but doesn't harm them. I've had him for 3 years and have never seen an aggressive trait in him. He's more submissive than anything. Tauro does have separation anxiety so he needs a home where he can be with someone for the most part and he has high energy so he needs room to run. He would make an ideal companion for a family with a large yard or go on long walks. The more the merrier! I have moved to senior housing in a city setting. I've done my best by him but it's become a challenge for me and I have to work. He has become depressed and his anxiety has overwhelmed him. Please help Tauro bring back his joy for life!
