Nintendo came to us when his previous owner had health concerns that significantly limited how much time and attention Nintendo was getting, and his young dog needs were not being met.Nintendo was very insecure when he first arrived, quite confused about the changes in his life, but recently he has started to show us what a friendly, funny guy he is! He lived with small dogs in his prior home, and was reported to be very playful with them. He hasn`t had the chance to meet any dogs his own size here yet, so we don`t know if he`s open to other dog relationships. He has only been around adults, so we don`t know how he feels about children, and he`s never seen cats.Nintendo would probably do best in a relatively calm home, but with someone who can give him outlets for his energy, such as long sniffy walks, food puzzle boxes, and slow introductions to new life adventures. He does love the sound of his own voice, and can throw out a hearty hound bay, so apartment living won`t make sense for this guy.A 5-week Good Manners training course is included in Nintendo`s $350.00 adoption fee. She’s dog-, cat-, and kid-friendly, making her an easy fit for almost any family. Darla loves to put her nose to work, so she’ll do best on a leash or in a fenced yard—otherwise she might follow an interesting scent on her own little adventure! This girl is food-motivated, quiet, and wonderfully low-maintenance—what we lovingly call an easy keeper. If you’re looking for a sweet companion to adore, Darling Darla is your girl.
