Story
Elmer is a young Beagle/Hound mix who came to us as a stray, and he’s full of the classic hound charm. This friendly guy loves meeting new people and is always excited to say hello...especially if there are other dogs around to greet. Like many hounds, Elmer is curious about the world and loves to follow his nose while exploring. He’s still a young dog and is currently working on his kennel training here at the shelter. He’s doing a good job keeping his kennel fairly clean and continues to learn more each day. Elmer would thrive in a home that’s ready for a fun, active companion who enjoys adventures, sniffing around the yard, and spending time with his people. With a little continued guidance and lots of love, Elmer is sure to grow into a wonderful lifelong friend.
