Story
Hi, I’m Jackson! I'm a one-year-old, 8-pound Bichon Frise/Toy Poodle blend with all the cheerful bounce my name suggests. I’m a bright, wiggly little guy who loves exploring, being close to my people, and turning ordinary moments into something fun. I’m still young and full of enthusiasm, and I can’t wait to find a family who enjoys a spirited, affectionate pup by their side. Favorite Things: Jackson is always ready for a bit of fun and brings a bright spark to every day. He treasures his toys and carries them around like he’s presenting a prized treasure to the world. He enjoys relaxing close to his people and wandering the yard with his cheerful little wiggle. His inquisitive personality makes him a wonderfully uplifting companion. Training and Manners: Jackson is housetrained when let out frequently and does a great job signaling when he needs to go outside. He sleeps comfortably in either the people bed or his dog bed, depending on what’s offered. He walks nicely on a leash and handles car rides with calm tolerance. He’s still learning some basic manners, but he approaches new skills with confidence and eagerness. When left alone, he can feel worried, so gentle reassurance and continued training will help him grow into a more secure young dog. Health and Care: Jackson is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. He will just need monthly flea and heartworm preventatives, like any dog. As a Bichon/Poodle blend, he requires frequent brushing to prevent mats and will need regular professional grooming to keep him feeling his best. He’s a healthy, happy boy who thrives with regular care and attention. Other Animals: Jackson enjoys the company of dogs of all sizes and greets them with friendly enthusiasm. He may bark at first when meeting new dogs, but once he gets close, he warms up quickly and becomes fast friends. He hasn’t been tested with cats, though his curious nature suggests he may do well with a confident feline who appreciates respectful puppy energy. Children: Jackson hasn’t met children yet, so a home willing to introduce him at a calm, comfortable pace would be best. His sweet, affectionate nature suggests he may enjoy kind interactions once he has time to feel secure. Ideal Home: Jackson would thrive in a singlefamily home, as he tends to bark when left alone and may feel overwhelmed in sharedwall environments. A fenced yard or outdoor space would be a bonus for his playful bursts of energy, though not required. He’s still young and learning, so a family committed to continued training, patience, and structure will help him grow into his best self. He loves being near his people and would be happiest in a home where someone is around often to offer companionship and guidance. Overall: Jackson is a lively, clever, and wonderfully expressive young dog who brings a special kind of brightness to the people around him. He’s eager to connect, quick to learn, and full of the kind of charm that makes him unforgettable. With the right family, he’ll grow into an even more confident, joyful companion who adds a little extra sparkle to everyday life. Does Jackson sound like the one for you? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, his foster family will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $550. ##2795076##
