Story
    Lexie Gracie is gentle, genteel, and full of southern charm. This 11-year-old bichon came into rescue after her parent entered assisted living. All indications are that she lived a good life, and she hopes to continue the next phase of her life as a pampered pooch. Lexie Gracie is fully housebroken and walks very nicely on a leash. She enjoys her walks and meeting new friends, but she would also be content to simply have access to the backyard for potty time.  She will let you know when it’s time to go out, and will alert you to meal times too, should you forget.  Lexie does require daily medication for a heart issue, but it doesn’t impact her daily activity level, and she takes her medicine like a champ. Sweet as pie, Lexie Gracie wins hearts wherever she goes—even to the vet and groomer! She is a perfect companion and wants to be by your side.  She’s not a typical cuddle bug, but loves being in close range to her people, preferably touching at all times—whether on the sofa or your bed.  She will do best in a family where someone is home most of the time. Lexie Gracie will make her new family very happy – she can be a solo queen or go into a house with other calm dogs as long as they respect her wishes. Story
    Meet Murray Mills, a 10-pound gentleman with a heart as big as his fluffy curls! At 11 years young, this sweet poodle mix is the perfect blend of calm, cuddler and occasional goofball — he loves to snuggle but will happily prance around when the mood strikes. Murray enjoys his neighborhood walks, but is a little grumpy if neighbors want to say hi to him. He also loves to run around our fenced yard! A happy boy,  Murray also gets adorable spurts of energy and when he does his smile melts hearts. He’s fully potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and thrives on companionship, so he’d love a home where someone is around most of the time to keep him company. Murray sleeps soundly in his cozy dog bed but is happiest when he’s close to his people, watching the action (or maybe sniffing what’s cooking!).  Like many distinguished seniors, Murray has a few quirks — he wears a belly band due to marking ( lets him roam around with us and protects our furniture) and his vision and hearing aren’t what they used to be, though he gets around just fine with a little patience and reassurance. Sweet, social, and full of heart, Murray Mills is ready to bring warmth, smiles, and loyal companionship to his forever home. Aspen is a 11-pound feline who accidentally ended up in the dog department. His motto is ‘look all you want, and touch me sometimes’. He’s looking for a calm, quiet home where he can be part of the "household happenings" without the pressure of being a lap dog. The Aspen Essentials: • Aspen is a professional napper. It’s his favorite pastime and he’s very good at it. • Takes treats from your hand like a Victorian prince • Socially Indifferent: He coexists with other dogs by professionally ignoring them. • Personal Space: He prefers "hanging out" over "cuddling." If you value your personal bubble, he’s your guy. •House trained and will let you know he needs to go out by walking to the door.  The Medical Fine Print Aspen is currently Heartworm Positive. But don't let that scare you!
