With his gorgeous yellow-green eyes, impressive jumping skills, and goofy antics, he’s impossible not to love. He may look like a serious gentleman at first glance, but spend a little time with him and you’ll quickly discover the playful, affectionate, slightly silly cat hiding underneath that handsome exterior. He is a total goofball! Harrison spent the first few years of his life living underneath a local bar alongside several other cats. When the bar closed, Harrison and his friends suddenly had no one to care for or feed them. Thankfully, they were rescued and brought into foster care, where they received the veterinary care and love they needed. He was a little shy at first, but after spending time getting comfortable with indoor life he is ready for a permanent family. He's come such a long and blossomed into an absolute sweetheart! Once Harrison trusts you, he loves a good cheek scratch or butt scratch, and he may even roll over asking for belly rubs. He can get a little carried away when he’s excited and may give an occasional love nip, so he’s still learning some manners when it comes to expressing his affection. This can be a little alarming but it's not an aggressive bite - however he may not be the best pick for a household with small children! Harrison does have a few quirks that we expect will continue to improve with time, patience, love, and the stability of a forever home. He isn’t a fan of being picked up, and he can become nervous when someone looms over him. He does best when given the opportunity to approach people on his own terms, or if he is approached when he’s on a perch (just a little higher up than the floor!) With a little patience and respect for his boundaries, Harrison is a wonderful companion and a perfect little gentleman. And despite his size, Harrison is still a kitten at heart when it comes to playtime! Wand toys are his absolute favorite, and his eyes light up when he sees one. He’s also a big fan of wet food and Churu treats and will happily come investigate whenever the “good stuff” makes an appearance. He isn’t an overly chatty guy, but when he’s getting especially good pets, he may reward you with a few adorable little chirps. Harrison is very close with his buddy Rob, a creamy-grey tabby boy who is equally large and quirky. If you have room in your home (and heart!) for both of these boys, we'd love to see them adopted together. Harrison’s journey has taken a little longer than some, and that’s okay. He may need several weeks (or even more) to feel comfortable in a new environment. He hasn’t had the easiest start in life, but he is a true ray of sunshine once he knows he’s safe. We know the right person will understand that earning Harrison’s trust is a process, and we promise he is worth every bit of patience. At first glance she looks solid black, but look closely and you’ll see tiny specks of white at the tips of her fur that make her truly one of a kind! Margo’s story began when she was found as a stray and brought into a local veterinary clinic. One of the vet techs couldn’t bear to see this little girl without somewhere safe to go, so she brought Margo home and helped save her life. Now Margo is thriving in a loving foster home surrounded by kitten friends! She’s currently living with Trixie, Rex, Tori, Taylor, Tommy, Cinnamon, and Sugar, so she’s had plenty of experience socializing, playing, and snuggling with other kittens. One of the wonderful clinic employees took him home to keep him safe and reached out to our rescue for help finding him the perfect forever family. We estimate Onyx was born around the middle of May. He’s currently living in a foster home with several dogs, and somewhere along the way, Onyx apparently decided he’s one of them! He loves being around his canine foster siblings and would be a wonderful choice for a home with cat-friendly dogs. Thank you for your interest in adopting Simon and Baxter! This bonded pair of kitty brothers live in a Montevallo Alabama Foster home and will leave us when they are adopted. Transportation is included in every adoption fee. We pay a licensed USDA animal Transporter for every pet that we send to the northeast. We do not own the van service. Pets see a licensed veterinarian the same week of transport for a health exam and interstate health certificate. Fosters FaceTime with the approved Adopter so you can see your pet and learn about them in real time. We have been adopting dogs and cats to families for over 15 years. These kittens were born to what we thought was a feral Mom cat. She was TNR when they were young, then we rescued them and sent them to a foster home with lots of love and experience with kittens. In less than a week, the black kitten, Simon, was purring! It took a little longer for white tabby brother, Baxter, to warm up, but they've done remarkable and are so deserving of a true forever home. They are inside only and have not wanted to leave the comforts of home. They are happy and playful with each other. They love the human teenager in their foster home. He doesn't expect too much and allows them to live life on their terms and just be playful kittens. That's helped grow their bond so we know they can bond again with you. Simon and Baxter are 6 months old now and about 6 pounds each. Both kittens are neutered, Simon is combo test negative, Baxter is "light" FIV positive. As his immune system develops further, the vet thinks he will test negative. Please do your research. We'd be glad to have the conversation with you. FIV cats should live inside, which he does. The virus is spread through blood in cats that fight. Not happening with these loves! Both kittens have FVRCP, boosters, rabies, dewormed, microchip, and they receive parasite prevention. They come with medical records. Simon and Baxter eat canned cat food and dry kitten food every day. They have perfect litter box manners. These two kittens could bring a lot of joy to your home. $350 adoption fee includes transportation and a health certificate.
