Story
Beautiful Sensitive & Sweet Young Kitty Buttercup for Adopting! Contact dcmcats@yahoo.com Buttercup is a sweet and beautiful kitty! She sounds like a baby kitten when she meows - so cute! She is an all black panther with a little white dot on her chest. She has such expressive eyes! Buttercup also has a black nose instead of pink - a characteristic of Bombay cats! Buttercup loves snuggling and enjoys petting! She will follow you around looking for your attention! Buttercup especially enjoys getting cozy with you at bedtime. She likes to play with her interactive mouse that lights up. The lady who rescued her and is fostering puts the mouse on the floor for her to play after she turns off the lights, and she runs around chasing it. LOL! She sometimes enjoys a window seat to doze on after playtime. She loves people and other cats, but doesn’t have any experience yet with dogs or children. She enjoys playing and snuggling with the other kitties and hanging out with resident cats in the foster household who rescued her, and we are helping find her a forever home. We have listed Buttercup as special needs because she will require someone who will be patient with her as she develops more confidence. We are hoping to place her in a home that will encourage her with gentle coaxing as she continues to blossom. She has made tremendous progress since she was a little feral baby, but she takes time to adjust to new things. Once she is comfortable, she is loving and sweet. This precious girl would love to be adopted to a home with other gentle cats, or else to someone who can spend time with her and give her lots of attention. She is spayed and received shots, flea treatments, and wormer. Her vet records are available to her adoptive parent(s). Please email dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application and include a little about yourself and your household and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like so we can help you decide if Buttercup is the perfect kitten for you! Application process includes: a vet reference, small re-homing fee to cover costs, plus completion of the application. Buttercup is patiently waiting to be your kitty!

Story
Approximately 3 yo female black cat found in a mud puddle in Vacherie. Initially she was thought to have potential brain tumor given her special head tilt and her difficulty walking aka army crawl. However her loving attitude and loud purrs made us fight for the beautiful girl and give her the best possible chance. Through a lot of patience, love, antibiotics/steroids and physical therapy by her foster brothers and sisters she has improved by leaps and bounds. She still has somewhat of head tilt but more when you tell her she cannot have anymore treats LOL. She is walking better and better everyday and we rarely see her army craw anymore. Her foster brothers and sisters are teaching her how to be a cat in every way. Please visit our website https://b2brescue.org/ to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs and cats.

Story
This sweet 7-year-old snugglebug is the perfect mix of mellow and playful. Merry loves curling up beside you for cozy naps, but he also has a silly side—he plays fetch like a pro! His favorite pastime is bird-watching from a sunny window, where he’ll happily chirp at his feathered “neighbors.” Merry is looking for a loving home where he can enjoy a soft bed, a good view, and plenty of cuddles. He's good with older kids, but the young ones can make him nervouse. He’ll make a wonderful, affectionate companion for anyone wanting a calm but fun kitty. Owner will cover cost of first vet visit with vaccines as well as provide bag of cat food, cat carrier, and litter bin cabinet.

Story
Maybird came to us as a rescue cat about 9 years ago, a delicate little grey kitten. She was, and remains, shy, although affectionate when things are quiet around the house. She is still thin and has struggled with some health problems in recent years so requires a special diet and TLC. She will reward you with much purring and rubs against you to let you know she likes you and appreciates your care. Maybird would make an excellent companion for one or two people, would do fine in a small apartment or a larger residence, and can be left alone during the work day, as long as she has her food and water available and a clean litter box. We regret needing to find a new home for Maybird, but it's a necessary thing for our family. If you want a sweet, loving cat, Maybird is your girl.

Story
Bayou was found as a kitten in Bayou Sauvage. She is the sweetest, most gentle cat Who has never scratched or bitten. She is lovely and loving but is very skittish! She loves to cuddle on the couch and with her person at nighttime, and loves her people. She prefers to be left to her devices during the day, but will come to where you are just to spend time with you. You She loves to sleep, eat and watch the world go by. She does not really play, but is the nostalgic gentle and sweet cat you’ll ever meet. Her vet raves about her gentle nature. She adapts quickly and is very curious. She has boarded without issues and has been indoor and outdoor with no issues. I am moving to Europe and cannot bring this sweet little bean.
