Story
Hey there, I’m Dexter, the One Eyed Wonder Cat! People call me that because they wonder how I haven’t been adopted yet. I am so easy going, I truly get along with everybody I meet. I have a very trusting and loving disposition but that doesn’t mean I won’t sneak attack a toy mouse or feather wand! One of my favorite things in the world is to give you a nice loving headbutt while your scratch my head and face. There’s truly nothing better…except maybe some catnip!________________________________________________If you would like to meet one of our adoptables or learn more about them, please submit an application at https://animalrescueneworleans.org/adoptfoster/.**Note: Our shelter is open by scheduled appointment with an approved application. Story
My name is Troyer (after Verne Troyer of Austin Powers’ Mini-Me- I look exactly like my mom). I was born to two amazing mommies about 5 years ago in Uptown New Orleans. I snuggle, make bread and do barrel rolls in their bed. I mew for food and treats and am litter box trained (I prefer silica crystal litter please). I have a kitty door that allows me outside privileges to hunt lizards. Scratching posts, cardboard boxes and scraps of carpet keep me occupied. I am looking for a home with continuity of care and treats because my humans have developed bad allergies.

Story
This is sweet girl Layla. She is loving, and very cuddly! She adores sleeping on your chest and staying close to you all night long. Shes well behaved, never had aby accidents. She has been being fostered by me for about 3 months now. Her first owner had recently had her first child and couldnt take care of Layla any longer, so my fiance and I took her in. She was adopted by her first owner from Petsmart so she was thoroughly examined and vaccinated. As much as I wanted to keep Layla, we have already rescued 7 cats. Unfortunately our 7 cats do not get along well with her, regardless, she never instigates any fights or acts out. She just gets scared, so we have her set up in her own private room. She deserves to be happy and stress-free in her own forever home. ☺️

Story
Callie is roughly 1.5 years old. I found her roughly 6 months ago and she was pregnant. I decided to keep her on my property to ensure she was fed and safe. She had the kittens and they were rehomed. I now need a home for Callie. She is everything a person could want. She is very chill and adapts to any situation. She lets you hold her, grab her and handle her however you want. She meows rarely. She loves being inside but can go outside and will return home whenever she wants to. SHE LOVES FOOD. She could endlessly eat. She doesn't play with toys much but may if you work with her on it. She doesn't scratch at furniture or anything.

Story
Jack for Adoption or - Beautiful Tortie Cat Girl! Please Email dcmcats@yahoo.com This prett cat girl is an older kitty in need of a new home. She lived with another Tortie Luna who went to another rescue. Their owner and his family have come into a situation where they can no longer keep them. Luna and Jack have been indoor cats since they were adopted as kittens. She is currently in foster and likes sitting in her foster’s lap. Their owner took them for check ups at the vet and can supply a litter box (or 2 if necessary), toys, and a ceramic drinking fountain. - Jack has a classic tortoiseshell coat and her face is blonde on 1 side. She is a very sweet, calm, and affectionate. She is very quiet and patient. Jack likes sitting on her owner’s lap and has always taken well to visitors/strangers and will often take to a visitor’s lap without delay. She is fairly independent, but happy to play and enjoys companionship. Jack would be fine being the only cat or can be adopted with Luna who is somewhat dependent on her. Her estimated birthday is 3/1/12. - Luna has lovely Tortoiseshell markings and is primarily black. She is a high energy, goofy chatterbox once she feels secure, her personality shows through. If her person is in the room she will want constant attention and lap time. Luna loves to play and have fun! She is, however, skeptical of strangers and takes some time to warm up to them. Once she is comfortable, she is very interactive & sweet, and quite talkative! She is somewhat dependent on Jack. Her estimated birthday is 2/26/13. She is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting either or both of these 2 beautiful sweet Tortie girls, please email dcmcats@yahoo.com for an application. Please also include a little about yourself and your household in your reply and what your typical daily and weekend schedule is like.

Story
Talion is a beautiful, sweet, vocal, loving little man. He is adventurous and will play all day long, though he has no problem napping the day away too. He’s 4 years old and gets along well with other cats, children and docile small dogs but may be uncomfortable around large dogs. He is litter box trained, acclimates well to multiple litter types, and has never had an accident. He was found as a kitten and has been raised in a loving home with other cats. He is not an outside cat though he may try to convince you otherwise. Talion will fit in perfectly in a family that can give him lots of attention and time. He may be nervous at first, but given time he will bring so much joy to his forever home.
