Story
Almost 1-year-old Winnie is a beautiful and petite house panther. She really just thinks the world is a little too "peoply." Trapped as a 3-month-old kitten in a feral community, we took a chance on taking her in to see if she could be a house cat, and she CAN! But she's not a fan of the touching. She IS a fan of playing with people holding toys, and even taking treats right out of their hand -- just not the touching, No petting, no petting! She doesn't scratch or bite, she just jumps away and glares at you balefully, until you feel the full shame of trying to mar her royal sleekness with your grubby human paws. Seriously, what were you thinking? Do YOU feel like the world is just a little too "peoply" sometimes, too? Do you enjoy museums, where you can admire beautiful things, and are okay with not being permitted to handle them? Is this persnickety princess your soulmate? If so, please complete a FOR Animals adoption application, right here: https://form.jotform.com/foranimalsstl/pet-adoption-information-form

Story
Meet O Brother Where Art Thou! This 6-month-old orange tabby boy might start off a little shy, but once he’s comfortable, his playful spirit takes over. If there’s mischief or chaos in the air, you can count on him to be right in the middle of it—pouncing, chasing, and stirring up fun with his kitten friends. He’s the perfect mix of sweet and silly: a soft-hearted boy who needs a little time to trust, but once he does, he’ll keep you laughing with his antics. Whether it’s batting toys, wrestling with other cats, or finding creative ways to entertain himself, O Brother is always up for a good time. If you’re looking for a playful partner in crime with a tender side, O Brother Where Art Thou might just be your match.

Story
Meet Hopscotch — the Playground Pro! Born on April 23, 2025, this bouncy orange tabby boy got his name honestly. At 6 months old, he was spotted right on a school playground, happily trotting from kid to kid like he was joining recess. Hopscotch wasn’t shy—he was introducing himself to everyone, hoping one of those friendly faces would be his forever family. Luckily, a sweet young teacher noticed this brave little explorer and scooped him up before the cold weather could chase him away. Since then, Hopscotch has been soaking up all the love he can get. He’s decided dogs are pretty okay, and he absolutely loves running and pouncing with the family cats—like his own furry game of tag. And just like any good playground buddy, he knows when it’s time to switch from play to cuddle. After supper, Hopscotch loves being held like a baby, giving soft, sweet-eye looks and powering up his biggest purrs. But don’t let his gentle side fool you—this boy has a spot-on sense of time. If mealtime is even a minute late, Hopscotch will kindly “ding-dong” you with his best reminders. With his bright orange coat and sunshiney personality, he’s ready to jump into his next adventure. This gorgeous tabby can’t wait to meetp his forever family—and he’s already saving a spot for you in his next game of hopscotch. 💛🐾

Story
Meet Alvin. Alvin is a gentle soul who’s having a very hard time in the shelter. He spends most of his days hiding, overwhelmed by the noise and constant change—but behind that fear is a cat who desperately wants to feel safe. You can see it in the way he quietly watches, hoping for someone patient enough to give him a chance. Alvin needs a calm home and a family with extraordinary patience—people who will let him move at his own pace and celebrate every small step he takes. He won’t be an instant lap cat, but the trust he’ll eventually place in you will be one of the most meaningful bonds you’ll ever build. If your heart has room for a cat who needs understanding more than anything, Alvin is waiting for you. He’s not asking for much—just safety, kindness, and someone who believes in him.
