Then he's off, doing normal kitten things. He's used to living with other cats and will be easy to acclimate to a new home. The adoption fee is $150 , to help cover the medical costs of getting ready for adoption. Story
Please meet Cole. This very friendly and loving fella loves to play. He is black with a white patch under his chin and 3 white toes on his back left foot. After a play session all he wants is some affection and to lay on your lap for a nap. He was born in March of 2024. He has been neutered & is up to date on his vaccinations. This animal is being fostered in the South but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.

Story
Sabi arrived shy and nervous, but this gorgeous boy has truly come out of his shell. Once he realized he was safe, his sweet, social personality blossomed. He quickly became an affectionate, outgoing companion who loves people — even strangers! Sabi is a lap cat through and through, happy to curl up with you and soak up attention. This chatty guy isn’t shy about telling you when he thinks it’s time for wet food, though he happily eats dry food as well. He enjoys company and would thrive in a home where someone is around for a good part of the day; he’s the type of cat who could get bored if left alone too long. Sabi greets visitors at the door and settles comfortably on the couch while they’re around, showing just how confident he’s become. When he arrived, Sabi had some gastrointestinal issues and wasn’t a fan of the litter he came with. Thanks to a change in litter and some helpful probiotics, he’s now using the box perfectly and feeling much better. After just a couple of weeks in foster care, Sabi has adjusted beautifully and seems ready for his forever home. His foster family adores him, and their neighbors do too, but they want to make sure he finds the lasting home he deserves before he (or they!) becomes too attached. If you’re looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who loves people and has a wonderful personality, Sabi might be the perfect match.

Story
Horton is a large pitch black Bombay male who was a stray wandering around with a bone in his digestion tract but is all better now! He is a sweet boy & enjoys jumping up to sit beside you or come on your lap or playing with his favorite feather teaser. His tongue is usually out - he only has 2 teeth in the front and 4 teeth in the back! He would do best in a quiet home with other mature folks such as himself. He's a unique bundle of love!  We want to make adopting easy for you! Here’s our application:   https://form.jotform.com/232837730565159  Once you complete it, we’re on it! We’ll call your vet (or personal reference) the next business day. Then we like to do a brief video chat (FaceTime if you have it) so you can show us your new pet’s home - where they’ll sleep, eat, and play. During our chat, we can also give you tips or answer questions about how to successfully integrate your new family member into your household, especially if you have other pets. Our adoption fee is $150 and covers our costs of spay/neuter, vaccinations, vet exam, and supplies. (Once old enough, all our cats are current on their shots and have been spayed/neutered.) We’re a strictly no-kill shelter just for cats. We’re cage-free, donation-based, and volunteer-powered. We’re small but special and we’re glad you found us! For more info don’t hesitate to call or text us at  540-987-6050  or email us at adopt@rappcats.org. November 20, 2025, 9:53 pm

Story
Black Velvet lives with her sister Skittle, and they are both solid black, but 'Velvet' has an old scar on her head. Rescued near Manassas, she and her sister are learning to trust humans in a safe place, and she is beginning to make progress. You can pet her and she is food motivated so that helps in her trust department. She would be a project cat that you will most certainly be able to make progress when she gets to her forever home.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Just a darling little girl with the cutest, longest legs, Dottie came to us in early April 2025. Given her sweet and friendly personality, she likely knew people at some point, though came to us through trapping. We think she was born late 2024, so going on a year old at this point. Dottie gets along well with other Cat Shed residents so would likely do well with other cats in a household. She should do well in a home with kids, after a warm up and time to get to know them of course. If Dottie might make a good addition to your family, please complete an adoption application and come meet her!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Boi, almost 4, came to us in 2024 along with his mom, both surrendered after spending their lives in a caring home. Sadly their human, who had long been involved in local rescue, became ill and had to surrender her two adult cats. Understandably, Boi struggled to adapt to the chaos of the Cat Shed and for several months, was a bit of a grey ghost - preferring the quieter, darker corners of the shelter. He has since begun to interact with volunteers and while still quite shy, is a warm and gentle giant. Boi would benefit greatly from once again, having a home of his own, and in lieu of this, a foster home and kind human could help him regain his sense of security. Are you the person to give Boi this chance? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.    _______________________________________________________________ MCTNR Adoption Process We do have an application process including a vet reference and written landlord permission if you rent.  Home visit may be required.
