Story
I’m as sweet as they come — a gentle, loving boy who just wants to be by your side. I have a calm, affectionate personality and my favorite thing in the world is spending time with my people, whether we’re relaxing at home or I’m soaking up all the pets and attention you can give. I get along great with other dogs and would do well with a canine companion. I also do just fine with kids and handle all the excitement with easygoing patience, making me a great fit for lots of different families. If you’re looking for a loyal, laid-back best friend with a big heart, I might just be your perfect match. 💛

Story
Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.Sassy Rose is a 5-year-old spayed female Border Collie with a striking black-and-white medium-length coat. She weighs 60 pounds and is considered a large adult dog. Initially shy and timid, she quickly becomes affectionate and forms a strong, devoted bond with her family. Playful and energetic, Sassy Rose enjoys engaging in activities and is highly intelligent and well-trained. She would do well with older children, and a meet-and-greet is recommended if you have another dog to ensure compatibility. A staff favorite, Sassy Rose is a wonderful all-around companion and would make an excellent addition to any family. She particularly enjoys the company of women and would be the perfect new best friend for someone seeking a loyal companion. Once she warms up, this sensitive girl becomes a devoted 'velcro' companion. Sassy Rose is both leash-trained and house-trained, making her a loving and reliable addition to her new home. She would benefit from an experienced dog owner who is patient and able to spend quality time with her.Dog/puppy adoption fees are $120.  Cat/kitten adoption fees are $75.  All pets will be spayed/neutered before adoption; or you will be given a discount spay/neuter certificate to be used at participating vet clinics to help with the cost of spay/neuter.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under 'special needs' our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  *****Please note that PAHS does NOT do online adoption applications.  You must come to the shelter in person to meet the PAHS pets.*****September 2, 2026, 3:26 pm

Story
Meet Todd Todd is a 5-month-old Border Collie mix with the sweetest personality and a fun, playful spirit. Hes expected to stay on the smaller side, around 40 lbs full grown, making him a great medium-sized companion. This smart boy is quick to learn and loves to make his people smile with his goofy, funny personality. He can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but once he warms up, hes incredibly affectionate and loyal. Todd is doing wonderfully with house training and crate training, and hes already showing how eager he is to learn. He does great with kids and other dogs, but will need a feline-free home as he may chase cats. Todd is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home
