Story
Meet Dixie! 🖤🤍 Dixie is a 1.5-year-old Border Collie/Heeler mix with the cutest perky ears, soulful eyes, and an expression that somehow manages to be both serious and ridiculously endearing at the same time. She has a unique look that makes you stop and stare—and then instantly smile. Dixie has rickets, but it truly doesn’t slow her down or dampen her joyful spirit one bit. She’s a happy, playful girl who loves to bounce around, soak up attention, and be part of whatever’s going on. Her personality is bright, loving, and full of charm. She’s incredibly friendly and adores everyone she meets, including kids, cats, and other dogs. Dixie is smart, eager to please, and already crate trained and housebroken, making her an easy and wonderful addition to a home. Dixie is spayed, fully vaccinated, and ready to find a forever family who will love her just as she is—unique, joyful, and absolutely adorable. 💕

Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Holly is a 5 year old border collie mix (we think). She’s friendly, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has one blue eye and one brown and her coat is almost like a terrier. She’s the perfect mutt! She does well with basic commands and loves her chew toys. Her personality is a bit goofy, but she’s smart and sweet. She will complete her vetting Saturdays and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
This lovely girl is Elowen, a six-year-old, 62-pound mix of Lab and Border Collie. She’s a great girl who came into rescue with six puppies who are all now weaned, so setting the stage for her to find a wonderful home! She’s good with other dogs, kids, and her foster’s cat! A fine dog, any family would be lucky to have her as theirs. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **May 19, 2026, 9:54 pm
