Sunny, a Border Collie mix, was born 11/6/22 and weighs 50 lbs. This lovely lady has been having a hard time finding the right home. We just know there is the right person out there who has been waiting for her.
Sunny is slow to trust strangers, but once she does she really loves her people. She is very finicky about who she likes. She needs a confident family, as she is sensitive to her peoples' emotions and nervousness/anxiety transmit to her very easily, making her nervous and anxious. She'd love a home filled with "hakuna matata."
Sunny loves to go for walks on trails, by the lake, or even just run around in her fenced yard. She is not a fan of crowded streets, lots of people or cars (which she wants to chase, eeek).
Sunny is quick to learn and very motivated by praise. She can sit, lie down, roll over, and wait.
She rides well in the car, is happily kennel trained, is house broken and walks pretty well on a leash.
The ideal home for Sunny would not include small children, other pets or busy city streets. She would do well with a seasoned dog owner who is willing to continue training and socializing.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for long-term resident Sunny is WAIVED (optional donation gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to the Seattle area, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
