Story
She is extremely smart and loves to run and play! She knows how to sit, down, leave-it, stay, spin around, paw shake and speak! She loves attention and to have her ears / head neck rubbed. She has lot of great qualities, is a such a beautiful dog and has so much love to give!!! (and definitely loves getting it!) Now for the reason for rehoming: Not good with small children. she will be reactive, barking and can act aggressive towards them. She loves to go for walks on her leash, but will react to other dogs/cats,. She has been trained, and she does very well with the command "by me". We have drastically changed our life style this past year, moving my elderly parents in with us and now have a new grandbaby. She was so used to hiking and doing a lot of outdoor activities and more active lifestyle that we no longer can give her. We Love her and want the best for her!! Please contact us with any questions! Story
Meet Zoomie! A sweet and sensitive girl with a playful spirit! She may feel a little nervous in new or busy environments (and cars aren’t quite her thing), but with patience and reassurance, she slowly builds more confidence. Zoomie loves peaceful neighborhood sniff walks, cozy blankets, soft toys, and soaking up affection from her favorite people. She’s dog friendly and enjoys playtime with other pups, and while she can be a bit shy when meeting new people, she warms up with gentle introductions. Zoomie has recently had some medical concerns and will need a calm home to support her healing, but she’ll reward you with endless love and loyal companionship. Zoomie knows her basic commands and would love to continue training with you today! Interested in fostering to adopt her? Call our Adoption Specialists at (904)686-1956 extension 4589 to schedule a meet and greet!

Story
Naomi is an adorable herding-type girl whose intelligence, enthusiasm, and playful spirit are exactly what you’d expect from this active breed group. She recently joined staff for a lunch outing and showed just how fun she can be. Naomi loaded easily into the car and, after some excited wiggling at the start of the adventure, settled in nicely for the ride. At the café she walked politely, sat calmly while food was ordered, and relaxed in the sunshine once everyone was seated. Naomi truly shines when she gets to move—she loved zooming around on a long line, splashing in the water, and rolling in the grass. She’s highly treat-motivated and already knows cues like sit, speak, and paw, with down still being a work in progress. Like many herding dogs, she can get a little overstimulated during play and may jump up or grab at arms while vocalizing, but she responds well to redirection and is eager to learn. Now living in a foster home, Naomi is thriving and showing what a wonderful companion she can be. She rides well in the car, is house trained, and does well when left home alone. She enjoys playdates with a friend’s dog and gets along great with her canine buddy. While she hasn’t yet been around cats or children in the foster home, she has been a fantastic houseguest and continues to show her happy, affectionate personality. Naomi would do best in an active home that can give her the exercise, mental stimulation, and continued training that her smart herding brain craves. In return, she’ll reward her adopter with endless fun, loyalty, and the joy of sharing life with a truly special dog.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tuck is still very shy around strangers, but once he gets to know them, he improves. He will need time to adjust to a new home and requires a household without children. He is housetrained and has learned not to beg at the table. No matter who is eating or where, he won’t approach unless invited. He has a big dog bark and will alert you when strangers are near. Once he trusts you, he’s incredibly loving and just wants affection—belly rubs are his favorite. He is also a talker and a groaner. All these characteristocs make him an adorable boy. He’s still resistant to the leash, but we believe he will thrive with the right foster family. Fenced yard is required and another dog is a must. Foster to adopt home and will be neutered before adoption.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2026, 2:41 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dina grew up in the rescue and is  housetrained. She picks up commands quickly, we are still in the process of haing her be comfortable in a harness and on a walk.     She loves to chew on toys, with some standing up to her better than others, but plush ones don’t stand a chance. She’s very active and needs another dog to play with. While she can be bossy, she backs down if the other dog asserts itself. Dina loves playing tag and is quite good at it.    She obeys when using hand signals, respects a water bottle, and has learned not to beg at the table. She hasn’t been around children, and it’s unclear if she’s ever even seen one. She is very loyal to her person, she loves to cuddle up to you and get attention or she will just hang out on the couch to watch tv.While leash training is a work in progress, Dina would thrive in a foster or foster-to-adopt home..  If you are seeking a dog to welcome into your family,  we invite you to consider her. While she may need time to feel comfortable with new people, her loving heart ensures she does not stay distant for long. Another dog in the home is requiredA fenced yard is requirement. She is a foster to adopt.
