Story
Blaine is a gentle soul who is looking for a patient and understanding home. He can be quite shy at first, especially with new people, but once he gets to know you, he'll shower you with affection. Blaine absolutely adores other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help him come out of his shell. While Blaine is still learning to trust humans, he is incredibly sweet and cuddly once he warms up to you. He loves nothing more than snuggling up on the couch for pets and belly rubs. Blaine is crate trained and potty trained, making him a low-maintenance housemate. He is also a big fan of chew toys, which help keep him entertained and occupied. Blaine is easily startled and can be timid in new situations, so he would do best in a calm and quiet household. With time, patience, and lots of love, Blaine will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Could you be the one to give Blaine the loving home he deserves? If you are interested in learning more about this dog, please complete an application by visiting http://www.floridaurgentrescue.com/adopt. Story
Hey there, my name is Tater Tot! I was hand selected for K9's For Warriors service dog program from Humane Society of Central Texas and passed all my initial tests with flying colors! Since arriving at K9's in February of this year, I've decided I would rather be a family companion over having to work for a living. If you are looking for a new fur-ever friend, look no further than Tater Tot! Tater is an affectionate and playful pup who loves to make new human friends. He's smart as a whip and is curious about everything - he's always game to investigate new smells and sounds. He prances like a show horse when he walks because he knows just how handsome he is. He enjoys a good back scratch and being brushed. Tot has an independent streak and likes some quiet time, preferably on your couch or splayed out on the cold floor. He has great house manners, knows all his basic obedience cues and is crate trained. If you're looking for a furry companion who's sweet, smart, and a bit sassy, come meet Tater Tot! I am neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and eagerly waiting for my forever home. If you are considering adopting Tater Tot, we highly encourage you to reach out to set up a formal meet and greet. We look forward to hearing from you and can't wait to help find your furever friend!

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Jacksonville, FL Meet Blue! He is an 4 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 47 lbs. He is microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention, but isn’t neutered. Blue is fearful around strangers (he warms up quicker to females when introduced properly). He hasn’t been tested around cats or other dogs, but is fine with the dogs inside of his home. No kids, due to his reactivity! He loves to play fetch, run around the yard, and snuggle up on your lap! Blue has had 3 bite incidents last year. He bit a toddler on the forehead. He bit a child when they approached him on the couch with a big toy. He also bit the owner’s toddler after she approached him and tried to pet him in the kitchen. The owner is surrendering him because he has bitten their young children and shown aggression towards them. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for him, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Blue. Owner’s Contact Information: Dayana Alvarez at dayana_01@hotmail.com.

Story
Birthday is August 17th, he’ll be turning 7 this year. Purebred Australian shepherd, bi color/black and white, brown eyes. House broke and can hold it while we work during the day. He's not eager to run away at the door, listens very well, very healthy. He'll stay right by you or listen to where his boundaries are in the yard. He can sit but, I never forced him to learn more than that. He'll "go lay down" too. He's great with other dogs here but has been acting out on the leash. “Moved from a five acre farm and signed a year lease in an apartment, forcing us to leash him outside”. He's got a problem with personal space and will climb into your lap if you let him, like overly shows love. We've been here in Florida less than 6 months and having the hardest time acclimating and adapting to a bi weekly paycheck. We moved here from Michigan for a company paid job offer my wife received. Oliver, unfortunately hasn't got any attention or made it to the veterinary yet.

Story
Stitch loves nothing more than his people, his foster siblings, belly rubs, and his tennis ball! Hes an energetic guy who is down to do whatever you want to do walk, hike, go for a ride, hang out at a restaurant patio, lay in the sun, lounge on the couch you name it except for swimming (which his foster parents will be working on now that the weather is nice). He is super smart, extremely athletic, and loyal. He would love a home with or without kids but definitely without cats. He is cautious when meeting new canine friends but does well with slow introductions. Once he is comfortable with his new friends he loves to play and cuddle. Stitch knows all his basic commands; sit, stay, no, shake, walks well on a leash, and his recall is amazing. He is e-collar trained, although he really doesnt need it anymore as he listens quite well. Did we mention how handsome he is?Apply at www.fursisters.org today!Additional information:We are not a shelter. All of our dogs are at private fosters. We only set up meets with approved adopters. If you want to meet our adoptable dogs, many pups will be at Brewhound for Fur Sisters Friday most Fridays from 6-8 pm.Adopters are chosen based on the best fit for each dog, it is not first come, first served. We do not 'hold' dogs. Please note: we have many dogs who are not yet listed as available due to the availability of volunteer time to post or because they are puppies.
