BARC has him and his litter mates up to date on vaccines, microchipped and pays for neutering when ready. Mikey is a playful and intelligent pup who would make an awesome best friend and play mate. Finn is a fun boy with so much love to give and needs his perfect home to give it to. He is used to being around a lot of different sized dogs, he loves people, and can be cat tested upon request. He enjoys playing with any dog he is housed with and loves ALL the volunteers! We were able to save him and his sister from being euthanized at Cordele Animal Services and we would love for him to find his forever family. He is still learning his manners so a home with older kids and no fragile elderly would be best so he doesn’t accidentally knock anyone over; he doesn't have spatial awareness. He is already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and ready to go. Finn can be cat tested upon request. Any medical conditions known are disclosed to the best of our ability. Adults are hw tested and status is disclosed. Please don't let HW positive dogs deter you. Please ask us and we will gladly explain the slow kill process! If you are out of state or out of area that is not a problem, we do offer relay transport for a small additional fee to cover health certificates required for private interstate travel and additional vetting required. We run solely on donations and house 100 plus dogs and 10 plus horses at any given time. Please be patient but if you do not hear from us within 48 hours of submitting your application please reach out. We are human and we do get very busy sometimes. My name is Opal - I am fast going thru the doggie door - all day if my foster didn't slow me down. Must have a fenced in large yard; other dogs her size to be with. Does not do well being an only dog or small yard. Very strong leash puller; otherwise is very gentle. I love running and treats. I am house trained, leashed trained (I deo pull hard though) and not afraid of kids! Per the vets: Opel has Border Collie features specifically because of her speckled faces and legs. Opal can be timid one minute and full of kisses moments later. Very friendly dog, and will be a great house dog. Her one blue eye sparkles in the sunlight. Like most puppies, she enjoys a good mud puddle or playing tug of war with cheap door rugs. She crawls when she gets fussed at - trying to act all innocent and lovey dovey - it certainly works! I have several puppy sisters, plus big dogs to teach me to run and play, but so far there no cats where I live. My foster family dogs have been teaching me to bark at buzzards, rabbits and armadillos. Opal would gladly swim in a pond or baby pool if I my hooman would let me. Opal says I just love water, putting my feet in a big bowl, or my foster washing my face! Opal let kids she just met crawl in the crate with her at nap time. Opal is full of kisses and so gentle - she loves being with people.

My name Petunia - I have a small frame / feet with a long thin body. Very skittish-shy; I follow my siblings lead. I would need a doggie friend to be with. I would love to cuddle and be held once I know you. I am house trained, when I'm scared I hid in my crate to the back wall. Men seem to scare me, so I run and hide sometimes, other times they can pet me. If I go out and play its usually when its not hot out or raining. I love the doggie door; and my over sized fenced in yard. I go to my crate for meals; and nap in my crate; in the A/C and of course the sunny deck! I love playing with other dogs, and plastic milk containers are my favorite toy. I am able to walk on a leash if another dog I know is near me. We know my mama was a GSP (small size), but unsure on my daddy. Due to my speckling and texture of my fur, the vet is leaning towards Border Collie. I have small feet but a big heart of love. I behave around toddlers; even grown adults. I've never seen a cat, so not sure if I like them. I really like female hoomans, and become velcro to them. My brother Cash always looks out for me.

Do you ever look at a cute dog or puppy and wonder why they haven’t been adopted? Burnie is one of those puppies that we have that hasn’t had any interest, and it makes no sense. His foster mom says he’s doing fantastic with house training, he likes to go on car rides, explore, dog friendly, and a happy puppy all around. Besides the normal request for love and being safe, Burnie needs a home that’s willing to cuddle with him every chance possible. He loves to curl up between legs and just sprawl without a care in his little puppy world. If you think you can handle the constant demands for puppy snuggles, play time, and the absolute cuteness that is Burnie, he’s your boy. Burnie boy was dumped at our gate while we were evacuated for the Highway 82 so he’s named for this occasion.
