Story
Belle is a very sweet and energetic girl, she’s very affectionate and enjoys people. She was adopted at an animal shelter but unfortunately doesn’t know how to be gentle with cats, she doesn’t bite or try to hurt them but plays roughly when excited. She deserves a home with a friend or someone wanting to play with her and her toys. She is mostly crate trained and doesn’t bark when in her crate. If you decide to adopt Belle you’d get a helping of toys and a large metal crate for free. Take care of her and she’ll make you happy.

Story
Alaska’s story begins with resilience as well as heartbreak. She was found tucked away in a culvert, doing her best to keep her puppies safe from the world. That protective, gentle nature that only a good mother can give still defines her today. At times, she’s a bit of a shy girl who may need a moment learning to trust, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. Alaska keeps her kennel tidy, showing how much she appreciates her space. She gets along well with other dogs, even cats, and truly seems happiest when she has a furry canine companion by her side. Alaska is building confidence and is doing great on a leash. She responds beautifully to patience and kindness, and one of her favorite things is being talked to. A soft voice reassures her and helps her feel connected. Because of her past, sudden movements, especially above her head, can still frighten her, and she’ll instinctively cower. She’ll need a home that understands her sensitivity and is willing to move at her pace, offering gentle encouragement and consistency. Although the sudden movement could frighten her, Alaska has zero issues seeking affection and enjoys being around people. At the facility, you can always find her loving the attention from staff or a volunteer. With a patient and loving environment, Alaska has all the potential to blossom into a deeply loyal and affectionate companion. She’s the kind of dog who may not rush into your arms, but when she finally does, you’ll know you’ve earned something truly special.

Story
Gran is the kind of dog who teaches you to slow down and appreciate the quiet, gentle moments in life. In her golden years, she carries herself with an easy grace, content, observant, and full of quiet charm. On a leash, Gran is a dream. She walks politely by your side, never pulling, never fussing, just happy to be along for the journey. She keeps a tidy kennel, too, showing just how well-mannered and considerate she is in her space. Gran has a wonderfully calm temperament. Cats? She barely gives them a second glance. Other dogs? She’s perfectly fine sharing space, though she does like her boundaries respected. If a younger pup gets a little too enthusiastic, Gran will gently remind them she’s not interested in roughhousing, with a soft but stern look, but she never takes it any further. She simply knows herself and expects others to take the hint. She has a bit of a unique look, too—Gran is missing half of her left ear, which only adds to her character and charm. Every now and then, she’ll give you a look that almost seems like a smile, a sweet expression that perfectly matches her gentle personality. Gran is a staff favorite and loves spending time in the front lobby, happily sitting alongside her favorite people and soaking up their company. She enjoys being part of the daily rhythm, quietly present, and content just to be near those she trusts. What Gran truly loves most, though, is rest. You’ll often find her curled up in a cozy bed, enjoying a peaceful nap, or stretched out in a sunny spot, soaking in the warmth of a beautiful day. She’s past the chaos of puppyhood and fully embraces the art of relaxation. Gran is looking for a home where she can spend her senior years surrounded by love, comfort, and kindness. A soft place to sleep, a warm patch of sunshine, and someone to adore her.... that’s all she really wants. And in return, she’ll offer a steady, soothing presence that makes a house feel like home.
