Story
Meet Romeo, a border collie mix. Romeo had been in shelter more than 8 months, but thank you to Coastal Pet Rescue he is now in foster and available for adoption. This incredible boy is a shining star with children and dogs, crate and leash trained and thriving indoors. He would be a phenomenal addition to any family. All he desires is love. He does have moderate energy level but after 10-15 minutes of playing and running around, he settles down. He aims to please his human and listens when corrected, but we are working on some more commands. Romeo is Heartworm positive.  He has undergone injection therapy to treat his disease and is awaiting a negative re-test.  Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment.

Story
Are you looking for a dog who will happily spend all day binge-watching television with you? Then keep scrolling, because Shaboozie is absolutely not that dog.Shaboozie is an Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix, which means he was basically designed to have a job. In fact, if he could read this post, he'd probably already be editing it for efficiency and pointing out a few grammar mistakes. This handsome boy is smart. Really smart. The kind of smart that will impress you one minute and have you wondering how he managed to outsmart you the next. He loves to learn, thrives on mental stimulation, and is happiest when he has something to do. Agility? Hiking? Advanced obedience? Learning ridiculous tricks just because he can? Shaboozie is ready to sign up.Of course, brains come with energy, and Shaboozie has plenty of that too. He's looking for an active home that understands working breeds and can provide both physical exercise and mental challenges. A tired Shaboozie is a happy Shaboozie! For the right family, Shaboozie will be an incredible companion—loyal, eager to please, endlessly entertaining, and always ready for the next adventure. If you're looking for a partner instead of just a pet, Shaboozie may be exactly the dog you've been searching for.Adoption hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11am–4pm. Come meet Shaboozie and see if you can keep up with him!Adoption Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 11 AM to 4 PM. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Rose is a sweet Border Collie mix with an active mind and an adventurous spirit! She loves to chase just about anything that moves, making playtime one of her favorite parts of the day. Whether she's running around the yard or stretching her legs on an adventure, Rose is always ready to go. She is incredibly gentle when taking treats and has done well with the other dogs here at the shelter. Because of her strong chase instinct, Rose is not recommended for a home with cats. Story
Looking for someone who can’t wait to binge watch your favorite shows with you? Meet Friskies! He hasn’t met a sofa he doesn’t love. He might even share it with you if you bring the treats. Don’t let his couch-loving ways fool you, though. This sweetie loves a walk, and is well behaved on a leash. He wants to sniff everything, and can’t wait to be your walking buddy. Friskies is such a polite well-behaved boy, he’ll immediately fit into your household so well, you’ll feel like he’s always been there. He would do best in a house with multiple people, since he has so much love to go around. He needs more than one person to be able to give him all the love and kisses he needs and deserves.

Story
Say hello to Buckshot, better known as Bucky! At 57 lbs, this big-hearted boy is bursting with energy and personality. If you’re looking for a dog who can make you laugh, keep you moving, and snuggle up after a long day, Bucky might just be your perfect match. Since being in his foster home, he has become more relaxed and walks are more pleasurable when he sees other dogs.  He loves car rides and a good game of "you through the tennis ball and I'll bring it back"!Bucky lives for fun! His favorite game in the world? A rowdy round of tug-of-war. He also loves rough-and-tumble playdates with other dogs—though he can be a little picky, so his ideal canine buddies are those who can match his big, playful energy. This goofy guy is still polishing his manners. He’s worked hard and is now house broken and is doing great with leash walking. Thanks to being super food-motivated, he’s learning more every day. With patience, consistency, and love, Bucky is sure to keep improving.Bucky’s forever home will be one that understands his youthful spirit and gives him the space he needs to run, zoom, and just be Bucky. A doggy door will help as he is used to quickly going out when the "need" arises.  In return, he’ll offer his loyalty, his goofy charm, and his endless affection. If you’ve got a big yard, a love of playtime, and a heart ready to welcome a dog who will be your most devoted companion, Bucky is waiting for you, but he says NO-NO to cats!
