Story
Spot is a playful, smart, energetic puppy. He loves playing fetch up and down the hallway with his bouncy balls. He is enjoying the snow and will play outside happily as long as we will let him. He loves long walks and runs, and would benefit from a few walks a day. He enjoys chewing balls, ropes and bones. He is still learning not to chew things that aren't his. He listens to "leave it" and "drop it" commands pretty well, when you are diligent about watching him closely. Spot loves being playful with other dogs and kids. He would do better in a home with older kids as his size, energy level, and young age can be overpowering for little ones. He is still learning that the kids are not the same as puppies, and he would do well with kids that can take control and command him a little more. He has had several doggy playdates and time at doggy daycare and been with all sorts of breeds, sizes and ages. He has done great with all of them, and I think would thrive in a home with other dogs.

Story
Meet Gigi! 🐾 This gorgeous, bright-eyed Border Collie mix is ready to take on the world—and she’s hoping to do it with you! Gigi comes from a shelter in LA and hasn’t yet had the chance to experience life with a patient, loving owner. But even with her rough start, she’s already proving what a sweet, eager, big-hearted girl she truly is. As a working-breed pup, Gigi is bursting with energy, curiosity, and intelligence. She’s vocal, playful, and always ready for action! Whether it’s chasing toys, exploring new places, or greeting new friends, she approaches everything with enthusiasm. She will happily play with just about any toy you offer and is excited to meet everyone she encounters. Because she’s still young and learning, Gigi will thrive in a home that understands the needs of a high-energy breed—one with structure, patience, training, and plenty of space for her to stretch her legs both mentally and physically. She’s an entertainer for sure, but with the right guidance, she’ll grow into an incredible companion. If you’re an active person or family looking for a fun, loyal, spirited pup to share your adventures, Gigi is ready to jump right in. She has so much love to give and is waiting for someone who will help her become the amazing dog she’s meant to be. Come meet Gigi—your future adventure buddy is ready and wagging!

Story
I'm the shy one. My breed was actually given as 'mix' so we're really not sure mixed with what. I'm not leash trained yet but I do stick around pretty good. I had to be brought in because my owner had health issues. I'm still fairly uncertain about this life change but am hoping my new human is as wonderful as my old one. For now, Molly and Daisy are being identified as a bonded pair and it's desired they go together.

Story
Texas Tornado has opened applications for a new leash holder. Inquire within.  Well folks, Texas Tornado, the deaf, white border collie, with an estimated birthdate of 09/23/2023 and weight of 40lbs is here to display what it would be like if that last sniff of c0caine became sentient and chugged a monster.  Let's start with the cons. She's bad a$$ so there's only a few.  DEAF. Big Deaf. No sounds entering the brain. Only vibes.  Not cat and critter safe.  Has manageable OCD tendencies. Intermittently stares at the space where the wall meets the floor for as long as she is allowed if nothing more exciting is going on. Accepts behavior interruption with a spray bottle or low level ecollar correction, and will choose a chewie over staring if one is offered as an alternative.  Now for the pros. Buckle in. High ball and prey drive.  Crate, leash, house, car trained. (Rides tethered in the car)  Spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed.  Excellent social skills with dogs and kids.  Knows basic commands with hand signals. Sit, stay/wait, come, good etc.  Off lead reliable in rural settings.  Comes with an AKC Canine Partners number to be able to participate in AKC sanctioned dogsport trials.  Ran a 2.2 mile two dog bikejor in 13:50 on her first ever attempt. 4th place in trial.  Completed 2/2 lure courses at her first coursing trial and only needs 1 more successful course to earn her CA (Coursing Ability) title.  Excellent mountain biking companion, effortlessly running 15-20 miles in one sitting.  Non destructive in the home, safe to be left crated or loose in the day or night.  Lovely, intense natural herding aptitude. Could work as a functional cattle dog with a handler able to train with a low level ecollar or vibrational collar.  Capable of much, much more than has already been done with her. She is sure to excel at any task or activity involving speed, dexterity, and intelligence.  Adoption fee is 2øø and includes a leash, collar, ID tag, food sample, medical records, and complimentary consultation with a behaviorist to help both parties ace the new partnership.  Texas Tornado, AKA Tex, is eligible to be transported anywhere in the USA or Canada to a future handler who will give her an active and involved life like she has now. She would be happy with a sport or working life, or as an active pet to a family who will let her be included for major adventures like biking, backpacking, ultra running etc. There's simply too many good things to say about her and she deserves the absolute best future. To be considered to adopt, please begin by visiting www.murcismission.org and sending in an application.  ##2532720##
