Meet Baxter Description: Baxter is bout 6-years old and weighs 53 pounds. He is a lively and affectionate Heeler Border Collie mix with boundless energy and a heart of gold. With his striking appearance and charismatic personality, Baxter is sure to capture the hearts of anyone he meets. Temperament: Baxter is a spirited and outgoing companion who loves nothing more than being in the company of his human friends. He is house trained and adept at using a doggie door, making him an excellent choice for families seeking a fun-loving pet. Ideal Home: Baxter is seeking an active and loving home where he can receive plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and companionship. An active family or individual who enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, jogging, or playing fetch in the yard would be an ideal match for him.  Adoption/Foster Application: If you're interested in welcoming Baxter into your home, please contact PAL to arrange a meet-and-greet and discuss adoption and fostering options. Story
Meet Kala, a female, 1.5-year-old, Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog Mix. She weighs 47 pounds.Kala arrived at the shelter as an owner surrender. Her previous owners described her as friendly, affectionate, loving, playful, hyperactive, protective, and confident. Kala has done well with other dogs and cats. She is house trained and crate trained. Kala also tends to do best with women. "She is a great dog. She just needs a home with older children. I would say 10+. She deserves a home where she can thrive and be happy. She loves to be outdoors, she would be wonderful for hikes!"Kala will need an indoor home and a secure containment area to stay safe from wandering and escaping. Positive reinforcement, fear-free training will be needed. Daily exercise and mental enrichment will be very important. If you have other dogs in your home, we would be happy to arrange a meet and greet with your dog(s) to make sure everyone gets along. She would do best with a slow and proper introduction with any cats at home.Kala is up to date on vaccines, microchipped, spayed, and ready to go home today. The shelter is currently open by appointment only.
