Meet Akoya! This beautiful 4-year-old Husky/Border Collie mix is ready to find her forever family. Akoya is the perfect adventure buddy and loyal companion, always eager to be by your side no matter what the day brings. Akoya is not appropriate for apartment living and would do best in a home with a fenced yard. We're told that Akoya does well with dogs and some cats. She is very treat motivated, loves to learn, and is eager to please, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Whether you're looking for a hiking partner, a family companion, or a best friend for life's adventures, Akoya is ready to have your back every step of the way! All dogs are vaccinated, microchipped and spayed or neutered (if they are old enough) before they leave the shelter. If the dog is not old enough, you will be given a voucher for Animal Medical Center in Emmett to cover the cost of the spay or neuter. 🍎 Meet Apple! 🐾 Apple is a 1-year-old, 41-pound Border Collie mix with lots of energy and a serious love for fetch! Give this girl a ball and some room to play, and she’s one happy pup. Apple is undersocialized and can be slow to warm up, but once she decides you’re a friend, she loves getting pets and attention. She’ll need a patient family who understands that trust takes time and is willing to let her build confidence at her own pace. This spirited girl can also get a little feisty when playtime is over—if Apple isn’t ready to leave, she may resist having her leash put back on. When frightened or pushed beyond her comfort level, she may bite, so it’s important that her new family respects her boundaries and works with her using patience and positive reinforcement. Because of this, Apple is not a good fit for small children and requires a home with kids ages 10+. Apple will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations before going home. Archie can be a little head shy at first, so he'll appreciate someone who lets him build trust at his own pace. Once he knows you're a friend, his sweet personality starts to shine. Now, he’s ready to settle into his well-earned retirement home. While we're unsure how he would do with small dogs or cats, he does well with large, calm dogs. Slow introductions are required. Toby has been fully vetted, including a comprehensive wellness exam with bloodwork, which has shown him to be a healthy senior dog. Our best guess is that Toby is between 8 and 10 years old. Boone is a wonderful 3-year-old Border Collie / Kelpie mix who needs more space, activity, and a job to do. He is smart, energetic, and would thrive on acreage, a farm or ranch, or with an active owner who understands working breeds. Our lives have changed over the past year. When we bought Boone as a puppy he had acres and acres to roam and we now live in a subdivision. Unfortunately, this environment simply isn’t giving Boone the life he deserves. This is an incredibly difficult decision, but we want to do what is best for him. We are committed to finding Boone a loving, responsible home where he will have plenty of room to run, meaningful activity, and people who will make him part of the family. This is not a first-come, first-served situation—the right home is our priority. Please message me if you’re interested or know someone who may be a great fit for Boone.
