Story
Mara is a happy, energetic girl who is always ready for her next adventure. With her striking heterochromia and bright, curious personality, she turns heads everywhere she goes. She approaches life with excitement and loves having the freedom to run, explore, and see what the day has in store. This playful girl thrives on activity and would love a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. She loves to chase toys and has a blast running after them, although she's still deciding whether bringing them back is part of the game! While she's always up for playtime, she's equally happy to pause for a few pets before heading back out to continue her adventures. Mara keeps her kennel clean and would do best in an active home that can provide plenty of daily exercise, enrichment, and a securely fenced yard where she can safely stretch her legs. She has not yet been formally dog tested, so any introductions to other dogs should be done thoughtfully. Based on her personality, she may be selective about her canine companions, so slow, positive introductions will help set her up for success. With her beautiful mismatched eyes, playful spirit, and adventurous personality, Mara is ready to find a family that can match her enthusiasm for life. If you're looking for an active companion who will happily join you on hikes, walks, and outdoor adventures before settling in for a few well-earned pets, Mara could be the perfect addition to your family.

Story
Jethro is a fun-loving, goofy boy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This happy pup is always ready for the next adventure, whether that means a game of fetch, carrying his favorite toy around proudly, or bouncing around with excitement to greet his people. He’s playful, affectionate, social, and full of life, making him the kind of dog who brings energy and laughter wherever he goes. Jethro absolutely loves being around people and thrives on companionship. He’s confident, friendly, and gentle, with a cuddly side that enjoys curling up close after playtime is over. He gets along well with other dogs, has done well with kids ages 7 and older, and would likely fit into many different types of active homes. He also keeps his kennel clean and walks nicely on a leash. This energetic boy enjoys stuffies, squeaky toys, tug games, and just about anything that keeps him engaged and having fun. Like many excited young dogs, Jethro can sometimes forget his manners or get a little mouthy when he’s overly excited, but it comes from enthusiasm and playfulness rather than anything negative. With continued structure, exercise, and positive guidance, he’ll continue growing into an amazing companion. With his long legs, unique coat, and constant big tail wags, Jethro is impossible not to adore. He would thrive in a home that can keep up with his playful spirit while also giving him plenty of love and attention. If you’re looking for a sweet, adventurous best friend who can make you laugh one minute and cuddle up beside you the next, Jethro may be the perfect fit.

Story
Ozzy is a confident, adventurous boy with a goofy streak that keeps life entertaining. This handsome guy loves being out and about, exploring the world around him and keeping an eye on everything going on. He’s intelligent, curious, and independent, but he also has a sweet and gentle side that shines through once he gets comfortable with his people. Ozzy already knows “sit,” takes treats nicely, and enjoys going for walks, though he could still use some continued leash work as he learns better manners and focus. He’s an energetic dog who will thrive with daily exercise, structure, and routine to help him be his best self. Ozzy especially enjoys squeaky toys and would love an active home where he can stay mentally and physically engaged. Ozzy can be selective with other dogs and seems to do better with neutered males than females. He also appears to have a prey drive and enjoys chasing birds, so a secure fenced yard and careful introductions to other animals will be important. Because of his confidence level and personality, an experienced owner who understands boundaries, consistency, and continued training would help him succeed. He has kept his kennel clean and has done well with children ages 7 and older. With his goofy personality, alert expression, and adorable mix of floppy and pointy ears, Ozzy is full of character and charm. For the right person, he’ll make a loyal, fun-loving companion who is always ready for the next adventure.

Story
Meet Dory! Dory is one of a litter of eight puppies looking for her perfect forever family! Her mama, Molly, is a 40-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix, and thanks to DNA testing on Dory's littermate, Jessie, we know their dad was a Golden Retriever. With that combination, Dory is sure to grow into a smart, loyal, and affectionate companion. Born on May 15, Dory currently weighs 9 pounds and is expected to reach 50-70 pounds as an adult. Dory is a true people puppy! She loves being wherever her humans are and will happily follow you from room to room just to be part of whatever you're doing. When it's time to relax, Dory's favorite place is curled up in a lap soaking up all the love and attention she can get. If you're looking for a loyal shadow and constant cuddle companion, Dory is ready to fill that role. Dory is doing wonderfully with housetraining. Like all young puppies, she'll need a family committed to continuing her training and taking her outside at least every four hours during the day until she's older and able to hold it longer. Because Dory is expected to be a large dog, she will require a physically fenced yard where she can safely run, play, and burn off puppy energy. Dory will be 10 weeks old on July 24 and will be ready to head home with her forever family at that time. Before adoption, she will be spayed, microchipped, dewormed, and receive her first two distemper/parvo vaccinations. Her adopters will be responsible for her third distemper/parvo booster at 14 weeks of age and her rabies vaccination at 16 weeks. If you're searching for a puppy who will be your faithful companion, happily follow you through every part of your day, and never pass up the chance for a cuddle, Dory is waiting to meet you! If you'd like to meet Dory, please fill out an adoption application at www.furfunrescue.org. If you have questions about Dory, you can email rox@furfunrescue.org or call 319-929-6657. Adopters must live within a two-hour radius of Cedar Rapids, IA. Indoor homes only. Adoption Fee: $400

Meet Andy! Andy is one of a litter of eight puppies looking for his perfect forever family! His mama, Molly, is a 40-pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi/Border Collie mix, and DNA testing on his littermate, Jessie, confirmed that their dad was a Golden Retriever. With that combination, Andy is sure to grow into a smart, loyal, and loving companion. Born on May 15, Andy currently weighs 8.4 pounds and is expected to reach 50-70 pounds as an adult. He's full of confidence, curiosity, and puppy mischief, proving every day that big personalities can come in small packages. If you're looking for a fun-loving puppy who will keep you smiling, Andy is your guy. Andy is doing wonderfully with housetraining.
