I rescued him from the humane society. But now I have to move two hours away and I’m not allowed to take him with me. When meeting new dogs he seems aggressive at first but then he gets used to them. He loves kids and food. I really need him gone asap.

Meet Ollie! 5-month-old GSD/Border Collie mix 45 lbs of puppy love Sweet Ollie was surrendered to us after his owner had to move out of state and sadly couldn’t take him along. We promised his owner that we would find this special boy the BEST home, and that’s exactly what we plan to do! Ollie is a happy, playful puppy looking for an active family ready for lots of fun, adventures, and one BIG best friend! At only 5 months old, he already weighs 45 lbs, so this handsome boy still has plenty of growing to do. Great with other dogs Loves playing with kids Playful, active & full of puppy energy Sweet, social boy ready for a family of his own Because Ollie is still a puppy and doesn’t quite realize how big he is, we think children ages 5+ would be the best fit. We’re not sure how he feels about cats yet. Our guess is that he may want to chase them at first simply because they’re new and interesting, so slow, supervised introductions would be important. Ollie has already had one big change in his young life. Now he just needs the family who will make his next move his last. If you’re looking for a big, goofy, playful pup to grow up alongside your family, Ollie just might be your boy! If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Lucy‘s only disability is that she has three legs, missing front left. I adopted her one week post amputation from the animal shelter on September 23, 2026. She is 15 months old and would require elevated food and water dishes. To avoid future leg injuries, she is also required to maintain her weight of 15 pounds, unless she gets bigger, which is doubtful, as dogs carry 60% of their weight on their front legs. Lucy is a sweet, sensitive, smart, protective, loving, playful girl with an extremely active mind! She would need an escape proof fenced in yard and only crated for short times per day, 4 hours max. Someone that works from home, very active retiree, very active stay at home parent would be best suited for Lucy. She needs someone that is going to be very active! I have been diagnosed with lupus and have extreme fatigue, and sadly I am not able to provide her the amount of activity she needs. I do crate her while away & sleep at night. Very serious inquiries only please.
