Max is a 1½-year-old Border Collie mix who loves the outdoors, snow, and tagging along for a car ride. He’s looking for someone who enjoys being active and wants a companion to share in the fun!Max loves people and likes to know what everyone is doing. He has also done well with dogs he’s lived with and other dogs he’s met. Here at the shelter, he’s shown a little uncertainty with unfamiliar handling, along with some happy tail wags and playful excitement. He’ll appreciate time to settle in and patient people who help him feel comfortable.One thing to know about Max: his recall needs work. He has a history of wandering off to visit neighbors and chasing deer, so he needs secure outdoor boundaries, leash adventures, and someone committed to helping him learn to come when called.
