Story
UPDATE! Ally appears to be 1 1/2 yo border collie mix. She was found on the side of the road after having puppies previously. She is great in the house and crate. She does well on a leash and is great with other animals and kids. She loves to play with her foster siblings and chew on her toys. She is utd, hw neg (tested below detectable Levels) and spayed.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $195 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $145 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. Please allow us time to respond to all inquires and applications! Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Holly is a 5 year old border collie mix (we think). She’s friendly, good with other dogs and kids of all ages. She has one blue eye and one brown and her coat is almost like a terrier. She’s the perfect mutt! She does well with basic commands and loves her chew toys. Her personality is a bit goofy, but she’s smart and sweet. She will complete her vetting Saturdays and will then be adoption ready!  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. Story
Meet Wes — a loyal, well-trained Border Collie cross with a big personality and an even bigger heart for his people. Wes is a 4-year-old, 38 lb Border Collie who has spent his life being deeply bonded to his family and committed to his routine. He is fully house trained, reliable for an 8-hour workday, walks nicely on a leash (especially with a harness), and rides well in the car. He’s the kind of dog who settles into structure quickly and thrives when he knows what’s expected of him. With his family, Wes is friendly, affectionate, and steady. He enjoys human companionship and is comfortable in a predictable home environment. He is healthy, neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives. Wes does, however, need a very specific placement. He had shown escalating aggression in his previous home, particularly with a new male puppy, but was ok with the other female dog he lived with for some time. We are looking for a home where he can be the only dog and be the star of the household. For the right home, Wes will shine as a devoted companion — a dog who bonds closely, follows routine, and loves to play. Wes is looking for a home that understands confident, intelligent herding breeds and is committed to giving him clear boundaries, consistency, and the leadership he responds to best. If you’re looking for a deeply loyal partner and can offer a solo-dog home where he can finally relax and just be someone’s best friend, Wes may be exactly that dog.

Story
I need to rehome my dog Pringle. She’s a border collie mix and she’s 8 years old as of May. I’ve had her since she was a puppy and I love her dearly, but my living situation changed recently. I lost my job in December and had to leave my home in March. I’ve been staying with family in since, but their landlord doesn’t allow dogs in the house. We have a big fenced yard, a small porch, and a mud room that Pringle can access, but she can’t come all the way inside which is where she wants to be because she’s been an inside dog all her life. As much I want her to stay, I know she’s not happy here and deserves to be somewhere she can be inside with her person/people. Pringle isn’t spayed, but she is up to date on her shots. She’s on NexGard for flea/tick prevention and Interceptor Plus for heart worm prevention. She’s also house trained. She has a very sweet temperament and is gentle and calm. She’d do well with cats, other dogs, and kids.

Story
Hazel is a beautiful 8-year-old Border Collie/Husky mix with one of the most striking features you'll ever see—her gorgeous mismatched eyes! One blue and one brown perfectly capture her unique beauty and gentle spirit. Don't let her Husky and Border Collie heritage fool you, Hazel has fully embraced the relaxed life. She's happiest spending her days lounging around, soaking up naps, and enjoying the company of her family. The one thing that always gets her excited? Dinner time! Hazel prefers to graze throughout the day and does best with slow feeding, happily taking her time to enjoy her meals. Hazel is a wonderful family companion who gets along well with cats, children, and most dogs. She can sometimes be a little dominant or territorial with female dogs that are her size or larger, but with proper introductions and guidance, she can do very well. She has so much love to give and enjoys having furry friends around. This sweet girl has excellent manners and already knows sit, stay, and roll over. She's eager to please and appreciates praise just as much as treats. Above all else, Hazel is an absolute sweetheart. Belly rubs are her favorite thing in the world, closely followed by kisses and spending time with the people she loves. If you're looking for a calm, affectionate best friend who will happily keep you company through life's quiet moments, Hazel is ready to fill that role with unconditional love. At 8 years old, Hazel has the perfect balance of maturity and affection. She still enjoys life's simple pleasures but has left the puppy chaos behind. She's ready to spend her golden years in a loving home where she can be cherished just as much as she'll cherish you.
