Story
PENDING ADOPTION - Hammer is a handsome red-and-white male Border Collie, about a year old and weighing in around 40 pounds. Hes a young dog with a big heart and an even bigger work ethic. Though still green on commands, Hammer already shows strong natural abilityhell trail cattle all day long without quitting, proving hes built for ranch life and wide-open country. Despite his determination on the job, Hammer has a gentle, thoughtful nature. He doesnt show signs of aggression or any tendency to be overly nippy. Instead, he approaches the world with a bit of caution and timidity, taking his time to figure out people and situations. But give him the chance to bond, and hell latch on with quiet loyalty. Once Hammer decides youre his person, he wont leave your sideno matter how big the pasture stretches or how wide the horizon runs. Hammer is the kind of dog who grows with you, works with heart, and sticks with you for life. If youre looking for a partner with potential, grit, and an unwavering desire to be by your side, Hammer might just be your perfect match. We prefer Hammer go to working or ranch type home. I still need to be neutered and brought up to date on my vaccinations but ask about a "foster to adopt" trial to see if I would fit into your home! (406) 446-3500 or info@beartoothhumane.orgAdam the Awesome MEET ADAM Adam is a Border Collie / Cattle Dog mix who has spent his life on the outside — watching the world from a distance and quietly wishing to belong. What he wants most isn’t wide open space… it’s people. When his foster comes home, Adam absolutely lights up. His tail wags, his eyes soften, and he soaks up every second of attention like it’s the best gift he’s ever received. Inside his foster home, Adam is just beginning to learn what safety feels like. He’s choosing to come indoors, learning gentle house manners, and discovering that kind hands bring comfort, not fear. He allows ear cleanings and nail trims, and he’s eager to learn, eager to please — holding onto every bit of reassurance offered to him. Adam doesn’t ask for much. Just a patient heart, a little time, and a place to finally call home. Could this be the year he stops waiting… and starts belonging? Think Adam might be your perfect match?
