Story
Meet Violet — a beautiful bloom just waiting for the right garden to call home! Just like her namesake flower, Violet is sweet, bright, and impossible not to adore. This playful girl loves soaking up attention, enjoying playtime, and making new canine friends. Violet enjoys playing with other dogs and would love a companion who can match her fun-loving energy and playful spirit. She would thrive in a home with children 8 years old and older who can respect her boundaries and join in on her adventures. While Violet does well with dogs her size, she needs a home without smaller animals, including small pets and farm animals. With the right family, Violet is sure to blossom into the loyal, loving companion she was meant to be. If you’re looking for a playful best friend with a heart as lovely as a spring garden, Violet may just be your perfect flower.

Story
Meet Shadow!Shadow is a 1.5-year-old herding breed mix with a sharp mind, an adventurous spirit, and a loyal heart. This handsome young guy is looking for a home that understands the unique needs of herding breeds and is ready to help him continue becoming the best version of himself.Shadow thrives in a country setting where he has room to roam and doesn`t have neighbors close by. He takes his role as property supervisor seriously and can be protective of his yard, so a securely fenced yard is a must. Because of this, he is looking for an adult-only home with someone who has previous herding breed experience and can provide consistent boundaries, structure, and leadership. An active lifestyle is at the top of Shadow`s wish list. He loves heading out on hikes and exploring new places with his people. He`s currently learning to play fetch and is discovering just how much fun it can be! Like many herding breeds, Shadow is incredibly intelligent and catches on to new tricks and training quickly, making him a fun partner for someone who enjoys working with their dog.Shadow is dog-selective and prefers careful introductions to potential canine friends. He can also live with cats that are confident and dog-savvy. His ideal family will understand his needs, respect his boundaries, and provide plenty of physical exercise and mental enrichment. If you`re looking for a smart, active companion who will happily join you on outdoor adventures and impress you with how quickly he learns, Shadow might be your perfect match. With the right home, this devoted young dog is ready to shine.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Who do we like, Cinch? No one.   Okay, maybe not no one, but Cinch definitely doesn’t hand out trust freely. Cinch is a dog who takes a very long time to warm up to new people. Until he feels comfortable, he prefers his space and isn’t afraid to make that clear. Even offering him a treat can be tricky because he’s more likely to go after the hand than the snack.   This past weekend gave us a little bit of hope. Cinch went on an overnight trip with his foster mom to visit another foster’s home. This wasn’t their first meeting. In fact, she had visited several times before and Cinch wouldn’t allow her to pet him. But she didn’t give up. She never pushed him, never forced interaction, and never expected more from him than he was ready to give. This weekend was more of the same. She gave him space, occasionally tossed him a treat, and let him make the decisions. And eventually, Cinch decided she was good people. For most dogs that might not sound like much, but for Cinch it’s a huge milestone.   We’re looking for an extra special adopter for him. Ideally someone local to the Ronan area who would be willing to visit his foster home multiple times and allow Cinch to get comfortable before going home. He needs someone who understands that trust is earned on his timeline, not ours.   The bright side is that we know it’s possible. Cinch absolutely adores his foster mom, foster dad, foster brother, and his furry siblings, both cats and dogs. Once he trusts you, he’s all in.   Cinch isn’t the dog for someone looking for an instant connection. He’s the dog for someone willing to put in the time, celebrate the small victories, and let him show you who he is when he’s ready. And trust us, those victories are worth it. ❤️        Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2026, 9:24 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Girlfriend is looking for a new furever home. Girlfriend showed up at a home in Polson a few weeks ago and efforts to find her owners failed so GF was spayed and vaccinated and microchipped and is looking for a new family that will cherish her like the princess she is. Her foster mom says that she is everything anyone could want in a dog. She is great in a house and is completely house trained. She adores every person she meets, male or female, young or old. She loves to ride in the car and is the best trail buddy - she never strays off leash. She is good with horses and chickens but she does chase cats. Her foster family wants to keep her but sadly she and their female dog simply do not like each other and even though they have tried, they can’t make it work with the two girls. GF gets along great with the male dog in the family, so perhaps it’s a girl thing. She is a beautiful girl and will be the most loyal family pet. We think she could be a heeler/pit cross, weighs about 50 pounds - did we mention her stunning markings?
