You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Mel is ready to find a new home! Mel was placed into rescue after a Good Samaritan was able to pick him up from the Walmart parking lot where he had been wandering for days. Mel was severely dehydrated and malnourished and had a raging untreated ear infection. Several weeks after being in a foster home, Mel is doing great! He is now neutered and his ears are healed and he is like a new man. Mel is wonderful with people and has a soft spot for children and older folks. He ignores cats and pretty much ignores other dogs. He is a spry older man who loves soft beds and his food. Mel would make a wonderful companion for anyone. He is scheduled for a dental cleaning soon. If your home is up to his standards, please complete on online application. Mel deserves the best in his golden years.  LSAR.rescuegroups.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 12, 2026, 10:58 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Nancy (nancy.hemphill@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.We would like to introduce a new little girl in our program. Meet Lamb Chop. We do call her Minnie at home but honestly Lamb Chop is a perfect name for this fantastic young lady. In case you were wondering, yes, her fur is very soft as well as curly. She is about two years old and weighs about 45 pounds. She is a happy happy dog, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Lamb Chop thinks people are the bomb and is very keen on being by your side at every opportunity. She is not a barker, is completely potty trained and is content in a crate, although there really is no need to crate her as she is such a good girl in the house. She is pretty good on a leash although could use some training there. Lamb Chop is going to complete one lucky family. She is currently taking applications from prospective homes and will make a decision based on the variety of treats offered, amount of quality time spent with her and the comfort of her sleeping arrangement. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Zoey, with the amazing ears, seems to have two speeds - fast and sleep. She loves walks, runs and playing with toys. Once that is done, she loves to cuddle. Zoey truly is one of the sweetest dogs. She is the biggest cuddle bug and just wants to be with her person always. She loves to play with toys by herself or play tug of war with people or other dogs. She rides well in a car and sleeps through the noght  She is not 100% potty trained but is learning to use a doggy door and working on that skill. She has lived with a cat and while curious is not aggressive at all. Zoey is about 35 pounds and under a year old.  Overall, Zoey is a very sweet girl who deserves the best home with people who can be with her a lot of the time, and give her lots of toys to play with  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 12, 2026, 10:36 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.&#226&#156&#168 Meet Jessie! &#226&#156&#168   This gorgeous girl may not have the best pictures (she’s a happy wiggle worm who can’t sit still for long ), but trust us—she’s even cuter in person!   Jessie is just under a year old and, true to her cattle dog breed, she’s got plenty of energy to burn. But don’t worry—once playtime is over, she’s just as happy to snuggle up.   She loves other dogs, does great with kids, and is as smart as they come. Jessie is already learning her basic commands, has an excellent recall, and is eager to keep learning with her new family.   &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 House-trained &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Kennel-trained &#226&#156&#148&#239&#184&#143 Will be spayed & microchipped this week   Jessie is well on her way to being an incredible lifelong companion. She just needs her forever family to give her the love and adventure she deserves! &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 17, 2025, 1:51 pm
