Story
Meet Izzy Girl – Your Springtime Adventure Buddy!   If you have a soft spot for beautiful black-and-white pups with gentle hearts and playful spirits, then you're going to fall in love with Izzy Girl. This stunning 6-month-old short-haired Border Collie mix was found abandoned with her brother (Marco Polo), but their story took a happy turn when a kind-hearted Good Samaritan took them in and connected with our rescue. Now safe, healthy, and full of life, Izzy is ready to find her forever family!  Izzy has been lovingly fostered in a home full of cats, other dogs, and children—and she fits right in with everyone! She’s about 35 pounds now and will likely grow into a gorgeous 50-pound adult. Not only is she spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and in great health, but she also has the kind of temperament we dream about: calm, confident, affectionate, and eager to learn. This sweet girl has already mastered leash walking, crate time, and housebreaking—yes, she knows to potty outside! She's curious, smart, and easygoing, making her the perfect companion for all your warm-weather fun. Whether it's park days, road trips, or just snuggling on the porch at sunset, Izzy is ready to be right by your side. Now that Spring has sprung, it's the perfect time to welcome a well-mannered and adventure-ready pup into your life. Could Izzy be your new best friend?    Located in Tennessee – Transport available to the Northeast also! Contact: ccrtennessee@gmail.comAdoption fee includes full vetting, microchip, and transport (if needed). Story
Freckles was born right around Christmas—one of life’s little miracles, delivered on a quiet farm in rural Middle Tennessee. Her brave and beautiful momma was taken in by a kind woman who offered her a safe place to have her babies, and it was there, surrounded by love and open fields, that Freckles began her journey. Now 4 months old and 17 pounds of pure sweetness, Freckles has grown up knowing the feel of soft grass, the rhythm of horses trotting past, and the gentle cluck of chickens she’s learned to protect. She’s a Border Collie/Heeler mix, so it’s no surprise she already shows signs of being smart, attentive, and loyal beyond words. But what really makes Freckles special is her heart. She absolutely adores children, other dogs, and even cats. She’s the kind of puppy who lights up when you speak kindly to her and melts into your hands when you reach out with love. After a day full of play and discovery, you’ll find her curled quietly at your feet, content just to be near you. We believe Freckles will grow to be around 40-45 pounds, the perfect size for a best friend who’s always by your side. And if you have chickens? They’ll be in good paws—she takes her guardian duties seriously, just like her momma taught her. Freckles is ready to find her forever family—the one she can grow up with, love fiercely, and make beautiful memories with for years to come.  If her story speaks to your heart, please reach out to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com Her journey began with kindness… and we know it will continue with love. PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 18, 2025, 5:31 pm

Story
Minnie – From Chained and Forgotten to Cherished and Hopeful 2-year-old Border Collie mix | 34 lbs | Gentle with dogs, cats, farm animals, and kind souls   For nearly two years, Minnie lived a life no dog should ever know—chained to a doghouse, forgotten in the yard, and left to survive on scraps and the kindness of two women who brought her food and water when no one else would. When she gave birth to a litter of puppies in the cold, those same women couldn’t stand by any longer. They asked the man of the house if they could take her and her babies—and just like that, Minnie’s life changed forever.   Safe at last, Minnie and her pups were brought to a warm farm where they could rest, heal, and simply be loved. Surrounded by chickens, cows, and horses, and visited daily by kind neighbors who stopped by for cuddles and praise, Minnie slowly began to understand what it meant to be free. To be wanted. To be seen.   All of her puppies were adopted—except for two. And while she waits for her forever home, Minnie is learning to let go of the fear and sadness she once knew. Now in foster care, she glides across the pasture with the graceful beauty of her Border Collie heritage. She may still be shy when first meeting new people, but it doesn’t take long for her soulful brown eyes to meet yours, quietly asking for a gentle pat or a soft word.   Minnie is kind. She’s easy with other dogs, respectful of cats, and calm around every animal she’s met. She’s thoughtful and observant, and with just a little patience and love, there’s no limit to what she could learn or become. Her intelligence runs deep—but so does her heart.   After all she’s endured, Minnie deserves more than just a home—she deserves a life filled with peace, understanding, and joy. A soft bed. A gentle hand. A forever family that will see her not for the pain she’s endured, but for the love and light still shining inside her.   If you believe in second chances and quiet miracles, Minnie is waiting for you. Please email ccrtennessee@gmail.com to learn more or apply to adopt this incredible girl.   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 15, 2025, 9:23 pm

Story
This handsome blue eyed Border Collie is called Hitch.  A devoted dog that loves to go for runs with his human (trained to run in front and answer to voice commands) and can run long distances too.  He is 6 years old but you would never know it.  He is the best dog ever.  Crate trained and housebroken and neutered with all updated shots and HW negative.  He is great with other dogs and most every cat he meets.  He is a dog that really doesn’t enjoy the company and activity of really young children.  They make him nervous. He loves to go for rides in the car with his person.  He is seeking a quiet home away from the busy road and all of the cars, buses, motorcycles, etc. that make him anxious. None of these vehicles bother him when he runs since he is “working.”  The best home for him would be an active family who lives out on land and he can run and play.  Please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com if you are interested.

Story
This beautiful girl is called Kenzie and she is a Border Collie mix  from what we can tell due to her size, temperament and the very silky soft fur that adorns her.  This girl is about 6 months old and weighs 32 pounds and is such a spunky and active girl that is happy, charming, and ready for any adventure that you want to ask her to join you in.  Her story is not uncommon in the south, but it definitely was one of  neglect.   Our girl Kenzie is a survivor and a brilliant puppy. Her persona is one of vibrance in life and resilience, topped with confidence.  She adores other dogs, young children and never meets an adult stranger.  She has beautiful eyes that are the color of blue in one and brown in the other.  Her charming personality is bold, happy and full of smiles and energy.  She embraces life with the full expectancy that she will give good love to others and good love will come back to her.And that is what we have promised her at Critter Cavalry Rescue. We will not settle for anything but the best. Our hope is that she will have a home filled with laughter and activities thar also include a home with a fenced yard, and long walks or jogs, along with excursions in the car that the best of great outdoor events. She brings great karma to all who meet her.   If you are interested in this housebroken, crate trained and undeniable beauty, then please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com. She is located in Nashville, TN and able to transport on a weekend to the northeast to a new family. PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 1, 2025, 12:43 am
