Meet Fern! Some dogs are simply waiting for a family. Fern is waiting for her people—the ones she'll happily follow through every adventure life has to offer.Fern is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix, born around the middle of November 2025, and currently weighs 29 pounds. She'll likely mature to around 40 pounds—the perfect size for hiking trails, road trips, neighborhood walks, and curling up at your feet after a day well spent.Fern and her identical sister were adopted together as tiny 6-week-old puppies. Unfortunately, their family realized they couldn't give the girls the time, attention, and exercise they deserve. Now Fern is searching for the forever home she's always deserved.This beautiful black-and-white girl has a sweet, easygoing personality and is happiest when she's included in whatever her people are doing. She loves children, enjoys the company of other dogs, and is always ready for a new adventure. She hasn't met cats yet, though she and her sister have been known to chase chickens—something that may disappear once she's no longer teaming up with her mischievous sibling!Like many Border Collie mixes, Fern is happiest when both her body and her mind are engaged. She'll thrive with daily walks, backyard games, hiking adventures, or even dog sports like agility, flyball, or dock diving. She doesn't need a perfect life—just one where she's loved, included, and given opportunities to learn and explore.Imagine having a loyal companion who's waiting by the door when it's time for a walk, riding shotgun on weekend adventures, making your kids laugh in the backyard, and greeting you with a wagging tail after every workday. Meet JoJo!This girl pup is an 8-month-old Border Collie mix with striking black-and-white markings and an even more beautiful personality. At 29 pounds, she's expected to grow to around 40 pounds—a wonderful medium size that's ready to jump into the car whenever adventure calls.Her story started with hope when she and her identical sister were adopted as young puppies. Sadly, their family realized they simply didn't have enough time to meet the girls' needs, so JoJo is getting a second chance to find a home where she can truly thrive. She  is a wonderful blend of playful and easygoing. She loves kids, enjoys other dogs, and is always up for exploring somewhere new. She hasn't been introduced to cats yet, and while she and her sister have had a little too much fun chasing chickens together, we suspect that without her partner-in-crime, she may be much more interested in staying close to her people than stirring up barnyard trouble!As a Border Collie mix, JoJo is smart, athletic, and happiest when life includes activity. Daily walks, games in a fenced yard, hiking, camping, trips to the park, or learning new skills will help her shine. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dipper is a 10 week old border collie mix. In true collie fashion this pint size peanut is big in personality. Please visit our website for more info on our adoption process and adoption application www.barkdogfarm.org                         Before applying be sure you have thoroughly researched border collies. Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called.  A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place.  If all are in agreement  an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid.  Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppies 12 months and younger as well as small breed dogs. Fees for seniors, special needs or harder to place dogs will be determined by our Board of Directors. All dogs will be altered when adoption is finalized. This may involve young puppies be given until a certain age to be altered. All animals are up to date on age appropriate core vaccines, negative for parasites, heart worm and lyme tested if 6 months or older, microchipped and have a current health certificate.  Proof of a basic obedience course completed is part of our adoption contract within six months. Our descriptions are based on shelter evaluations, input from foster homes and interactions with our volunteers but are in no way a guarantee of temperment. We show animals by appointment only. This is usually done meet outdoors so please dress accordingly. The pups are 8 weeks old on 7/2/26. They are in foster care in Manchester, NH. Mom is a red border collie, I am told Dad is a pure bred Border Great Pyrenees! They are very social happy pups! They have had 1 distemper/Parvo vaccinations and a Bordetella. They will NOT be spayed/neutered, they are not old enough yet. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.MONROE and her 6 siblings were saved from a large hoarding case in Northern Texas (April 2026) where the American Humane were involved due to the scale of abuse and neglect. After getting vetted and healthy they arrived safely to Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine on 28 May 2026. We welcome adopters from across the East Coast and Canada — many of our families travel to meet and take home their new best friend! Health & Background Estimated date of birth: 2 February 2026 ✅ Spayed ✅ Rabies and core vaccines up to date ✅ Monthly preventatives ✅ Microchipped with FiNano - registered with Free Pet Chip Registry. ⚖️ Weight approx 20 pounds at end of May MONROE is a sweet puppy, very goofy as to be expected for her age, lots of fun and very affectionate. She does walk on the leash and rides good in the car. I cannot say she is house-trained as she has access to outside pretty much all day and does go outside, but she won't know to let you know she needs to go out - so you must be prepared to help her learn. We are looking for an active family who understands the need of mental stimulation as well as the physical exercise for this intelligent active girl Our adoption fee's are $550 per dog/pup or $1,000 for two.
