Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. ZAANA was saved from being shot on the streets of Oman by an amazing organization Muscat Dog Adoption. She along with her 7 friends were flown into JFK where they were cleared the CDC and then picked up and transported back to Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024 ZAANA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped. She has an estimated date of birth of 18 November 2021 and at the time of transport weighed around 30 pounds. The group believe that Zaana could be a Japanese Spitz mix, but we have no way of knowing for sure. ZAANA is the girl for you if you are looking for a gentle, sweet, super affectionate girl. She has settled in well after her long, scary trip from Oman and enjoys when I am in the kennels giving her lots of love and fuss. She will put her paw on my arm or shoulder so that I can scratch the spots she likes and I think it is also her way of wanting to connect. She is a beautiful girl who does have a medium length coat, so grooming is a consideration to be taken into account as if coats are not brushed, they can matt very easily which is not healthy and painful for the dogs. She is an active girl and will need a family that will take her on lots of adventures and give her the lifestyle that she needs and deserves to thrive. ZAANA can be dog selective and so she would be best in a home with no other dogs, so as to not cause any un-needed stress or concerns. Then over time she can get to meet other dogs and see who she likes to have as her friends so she can play and chase and have some doggy-fun. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue   YouTube channel    and    photo albums on our Facebook page   to see a LOT of pictures and videos. We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks. Zaana is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $550. Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application. https://giveadogahome-rescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=5838 HOUSE TRAINED - All of our dogs are located in the kennel building so we are not able to say if a dog is house-trained, however, they do have access and use the dog door to access their run, play area 24/7. FOOD - We feed a variety of high quality brands and flavors including, chicken, turkey, beef, lamb and fish generally alternated daily. CATS - As the dogs are in the kennels, we are not able to say how they are with cats. Story
Introducing Sylvester - the cutest little pup you'll ever lay your eyes on! This charming ball of fur was miraculously saved from the dreaded euthanasia list at our local shelter. Just look at that face - it's impossible not to fall in love! Sylvester is a bundle of joy who adores people, toys, and being showered with hugs. He's the perfect companion for any loving home. He is full of energy. He would do best in a home with another doggie to be able to run around and chase. He loves ALL toys. He is good with kids. He is also very smart and eager to please. He would be a great candidate for agility training because this boy may be part pogostick. He would love an active family who will take him on all of their adventures. He is good in the car, great on the leash, and crate trained. He is vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. This boy is ready to go. He is being fostered in Independence, OR and is available for meet and greets with potential adopters. And the best part? We've got you covered, no matter where you are! We offer transportation every two weeks from Houston up to Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. We even have a convenient stop in beautiful Bellingham, WA for our amazing Canadian adopters to pick up their furry friend. So if you're ready to add some unconditional love and endless cuddles to your life, don't miss out on the chance to bring Sylvester home! We have fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Our adoptable pets are all living with local foster families making the transition into your household a whole lot easier.  If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, then please fill out your application today. ##1938765##

Story
Meet Murphy, our adorable little Border Collie Mix boy puppy who was rescued from a small town shelter where he was under weight and riddled with internal parasites.  His future was very bleak but now Murphy has been treated and is a healthy, happy little guy free of parasites and gaining weight like a puppy should.  Born around November 1st, he is approximately 10 weeks old (as of Jan 5th) and weighs 12 pounds.  He is expected to reach around 40 pounds as an adult.  He is friendly with all humans (toddlers included), dogs and cats that he has been in contact with.  Murphy is curious, playful and very loveable and is quite the talker.  Murphy seems to be the most curious of his siblings.  His foster mom believes he is mixed with many different breeds that are smart and inquisitive.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 17, 2024, 10:21 pm
