Story
We have made the incredibly difficult decision to find a new home for our sweet girl. She is loving, affectionate, playful, and full of energy. Our family’s schedule has become much busier with work, kids, and activities, and we’ve realized she deserves more time, attention, exercise, and companionship than we’re able to give her right now. She is very playful and energetic, sometimes a little too playful for our 5 year old. She has never bitten him or shown aggression, but she has accidentally knocked him down a few times while playing, and he has become scared to play with her. We feel she would be happier in a home where someone can better match her energy and give her the activity and attention she needs. This decision is not because of anything she has done. She is a wonderful dog, and we simply want what is best for her. Our hope is to find her a loving home where she will be cherished, included, and given the time and care she deserves.

Story
About two years ago, Missy was abandoned near our country home. She was skinny, shy, and covered in fleas and ticks. Despite being frightened, when I stopped my truck, she climbed right in and came home with us. Since then, Missy has become a very loved part of our family. Missy is an incredibly intelligent, sweet, and affectionate dog. She bonds deeply with her person and loves being close to them. Her two favorite things in the world are playing fetch and going for car rides. If you have a ball, she is ready to play! Missy also has quite the bedtime routine. Around 8–9 PM every night, she puts herself to bed and loves sleeping under the covers right beside her person. She loves feeling her person nearby and will often scoot in close during the night. She is happiest in a calm, peaceful home with adults. What she really wants is someone who will make her part of their everyday lives. She needs to be the only to be the only dog in the house. She has been around chickens, goats and pigs.
