Story
Hi there, I’m Lattie Da! (but you can call me Lady). I am a two-year-old female BC/Lab mix. I’ve been spending the last few months with my foster trainers learning to be the best version of myself-and now I am ready to find my forever home. I’m a girl who knows how to love deeply and connect with my people. Once I trust you, I’ll be your biggest fan – whether that means hanging out quietly by your side or bringing you my favorite toy for a round of tug. I’m loyal, affectionate, and happiest when I get to be part of your world. My favorite games are tug and fetch – I really light up when it’s playtime. Because I love possession so much, I do best when people keep play structured and consistent. That helps me stay focused and confident. Over the last few months I’ve learned a lot! My obedience is solid – I know sit, down, heel, recall and have great leash manners. I’m looking for a home that will keep up that structure and help me continue to shine. I get along well with social dogs, especially the males. I would prefer a home without a cat or young kids. I thrive in calm predictable environments where I can feel secure. If you are looking for a smart, devoted companion who’s already built a strong training foundation, I just might be your girl. I’m ready to give my heart to my forever person. I am being fostered in Madras, Oregon. With love and wiggles, Lattie Da

Story
Meet Cayse – Sweet dog-loving dog looking for his forever home! Cayse is a gentle, low-key dog. He was originally a ranch dog, but working isn’t his thing! He loves other dogs and is much more confident when they are around. A home with friendly dogs would be ideal. Cayse can be timid towards humans at first but warms up quickly. He is good with kids; children can walk him on leash. Cayse has not been evaluated with cats. He has not responded to deer when on walks. Cayse rides well in the car. Cayse is learning basic commands. He enjoys attention, accepts kisses on the face and hugs around the body. He is learning to be an indoor dog and will get in a crate with minimal coaxing. He is quiet once in the crate. Cayse is a sweet pea who needs a loving home where he can learn, play and relax. Cayse is approximately 4 years old and 50 pounds. He is a border collie or border collie mix. He has been neutered, is up to date on vaccines and is microchipped. Cayse is currently being fostered in Gold Hill, Oregon. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Cayse and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. Story
Meet Mittens: Cuddlebug with Paws Dipped in Snow! Mittens is an adorable Border Collie mix (reportedly McNab) male pup who was born on July 20th. Mittens has a unique and charming feature: perfect white speckled tips on his paws, like he is ready for a black-tie event! His best quality though, is his heart. Mittens is incredibly cuddly and loves nothing more than settling in for a good snuggle and puppy kiss session after playtime. Mittens is crate trained. He already loves sleeping in his crate and views it as his safe, cozy den. He is also currently working hard on his leash training and is learning quickly! Mittens is being fostered on a farm in Prineville, Oregon. His ideal home will be a loving family looking for a devoted companion and affectionate shadow. He will thrive with consistent training and a secure yard for his playful bursts of energy. On October 23, 2025 (3 months of age) Mittens weighed 16.3 lb. He is up to date on his vaccinations and has been wormed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Mittens and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. Story
Hi, I am Indi, a true original! I am a 3 year-old, female, border collie/heeler mix. I weigh around 45 pounds, but could fill in a bit more. I do have very long legs! I am exuberant, medium-energy, playful! I do well with cats. I am good with dogs and still learning from the dogs in my foster home about play styles and setting boundaries. I am super smart, a quick learner, and an excellent listener. I am housebroken, crate trained, I sleep in my crate at night, and have a good recall when off-leash. At my foster home I am working on loose leash walking and basically “how to dog” with the foster’s two dogs. Sometimes I go running with my foster mom, and sometimes just play with the other dogs in the garden. I can be cautious in new situations, but every day I am learning and becoming more comfortable with all of the routines, especially mealtime, yum! I also LOVE to go for a walk as I am a true lover of nature. Indi is presently being fostered in Sunriver, Oregon. She spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Indi and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. If you are not already approved, you can fill out an application here: http://herduneededahome.com/adopt-a-dog

Story
--- Loving Border Collie mix needs a loving family and a fenced yard --- Nelly is a balance of energy & calm. She loves to hike & loves playing with other dogs off leash. She is incredibly loving, sweet & affectionate; intelligent, loyal & curious. Nelly bonds deeply with her people & loves to be near them. She’s happiest when she can be part of the daily routine — following you around the house, walks/runs & exploring, curling up beside you. She’s a quick learner & very responsive to gentle guidance. At night, she sleeps well & loves to snuggle in the morning. Crate time works if it is the living space, not something small like the mudroom. Nelly walks nicely on a leash when there are not distractions. Obedience training would be helpful for when she gets excited when she sees other dogs, people, or wildlife. On leash, she is a little too excitable for other dogs. She loves playtime and mental stimulation. Nelly is a 14 month old rescue from a shelter in Mexico.
