Story
Jasper has been with me since he was 6 months old. Unfortunately he does have a bite history. The first was a startle bite when woken up in the night 3 years ago. The second was 6 months ago when my mom was drying off his paws, he bit her hand. The 3rd was 2 weeks ago when my boyfriend reached into the car to pet goodbye. He has had numerous lunges at people, both known and unknown. Although he did not bite his only warning is complete stillness. We worked on reactivity training with a local trainer but I can not provide the time or space for what he needs. I travel for work and though he rides well in his kennel in the car likely this causes increased stress. He is great with me and we mountain bike, hike and paddle board. He is smart and knows many commands and is learning more. He is a snuggler with me when he wants to be or when he is resource guarding me. He needs someone who can make him feel safe all the time. Jasper isn't a bad dog he just needs someone who can work with him.

Story
Goober is a 2.5 year old lover and very excited to meet people. He needs to work on understanding cues from other dogs when it's time to relax, so he needs someone willing to step in and make him take a break when he is with another dog. He will be so excited wanting play and has irritated other dogs in the past because of this. He is aggressive towards cats and would not do well in a home with a cat. He has lived with 2 toddlers and a preteen and the only issue he's ever had is jumping during play. Please keep in mind that this breed does require grooming occasionally. He knows sit, down, kennel, off, and has been trained with a pinch collar and bark collar if you choose to use those tools. Goober would do really well with someone that wants to walk, run, or hike with him or loves to play fetch.

Story
Meet Tango! Active young Border Collie boy looking for adventure. Tango is smart, athletic, and lots of fun. He really wants a job. Perhaps that is as your trail running partner or hiking buddy. Tango would probably love to learn dog sports like agility. Tango’s recall is good, but he will thrive with additional training. His original home was in the city. He didn’t get much exercise and spent a lot of time in a crate. He struggled with some typical puppy behaviors such as jumping up, digging, and chewing. In his foster home, he has had more room to run and play with his foster’s dogs. He is playing well with all of them. He loves to play in the water. He has also been learning to leave horses alone! Tango wants to please. Will you be part of Tango’s next adventure? Breed: Border Collie Age: 9 months Weight: 42.4 lbs Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Dog friendly: Generally good with other dogs. Cat Friendly: Yes Kid Friendly: Does well with middle school age children. Other ages unknown, but he might have too much energy for young kids. Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Tango is currently being fostered in Canby, OR. We have volunteers who can help with transportation. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Tango and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com. Story
Meet Vader! Vader is a calm Border Collie/Heeler mix with a fluffy black coat and soulful eyes. He is house trained and demonstrates great behavior indoors and out. His gentle demeanor makes him the perfect companion. While he initially hated his crate, he now happily curls up in his crate at night on his own or sprawls out in front of the couch while his foster family watches TV. He loves to go on casual walks, energetic jogs and even hikes- no pulling the leash! He copies your mood and just enjoys being with company. He truly is a sweetie! He has this quirk where when he’s really happy, his tail doesn’t wag, it goes in circles like a helicopter! He knows sit, down, up, speak, and fetch. Vader has shown significant reactivity towards male dogs and smaller dogs. His ideal home will be as an only dog or with a larger female canine companion. He can be slow to trust new people. His foster family has been working with him on these issues. He has been known to chase cars if unsupervised. Vader has no experience with livestock or farm animals but will chase cats, so a cat-free home is needed. Breed: Border Collie/Heeler mix Age: 3 years old Weight: 55 lb Gender: Male Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Dog friendly: Larger female dogs only Cat Friendly: No Kid Friendly: Has lived with 12-year-old and one year old children successfully Crate trained: Yes House trained: Yes Vader is currently being fostered in Vancouver, WA. We have volunteers who can help with transportation. His adoption fee is $400. If you are interested in adopting Vader and are pre-approved, please contact the adoption team at hunahapps@gmail.com.
