Hi, I’m Murphy 🐾🤍🤎 I’m a white and brown Border Collie who came from a hoarding/puppy mill situation, so I’m still learning what it means to feel safe in the world. When I first meet new people or enter new spaces, I can be fearful and unsure. I take my time to observe, understand, and decide that things are okay. But once I trust you, I start to show just how intelligent and attentive I really am. I’m a very smart boy—Border Collie smart—which means I notice everything and learn quickly, even if I need a little patience at the beginning. I just need gentle guidance and consistency to feel confident. I came in with my sister Callie, who has since found her home, and I’m now looking for my own calm, understanding environment where I can settle and feel secure. I’m not a fan of other dogs, so I’d do best as the only dog in the home where I can focus on my people and continue building my confidence at my own pace. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, though my sister Callie was comfortable with them. If you’re patient, kind, and understand that the best bonds take time, I might just become your most loyal companion. 🤍
