Story
Now accepting applications for Iris! Iris is a 1 1/2 year old spayed medium mixed breed (lab, border collie). Iris has a heart full of love and a little spark of sass! The perfect mix! If you are interested in meeting Iris please go to our website at www.mjhs.ca and click the Adopt tab, then Adoptable Animals and scroll to her smiling, happy face to submit your application. Once your application has been reviewed we will contact you to come spend some time with Iris to be sure she is the right fit for you. If after meeting her you decide she is not the dog for you, there is no obligation to complete the adoption process. We look forward to hearing from you! Iris has lived with other dogs but prefers to be the boss, so she’d do best with respectful companions or as the only dog. She’s missing her left eye due to an old injury, but it doesn’t slow her down one bit—our vets say she’s perfectly fine. That permanent wink is pretty hard to resist. Iris is confident, affectionate, and ready to find a forever home where she can shine as the special girl she is. Iris' adoption fee is $300, she is spayed, started on her vaccination schedule and microchipped. Can't adopt Iris yourself but still want to help? You can share her post or click the following link to make a donation toward her care. Iris says, "Thank you for your support!" https://checkout.shelterluv.com/donate/mjaw

Story
Bugsy, Miss Bugs, or Love Bug is a well mannered 4 year old girl looking for her forever home. She is fully house trained, kennel trained and has fantastic obedience. She is a lovely girl that deserves the best! She adores children of any age, loves to play tug or fetch. We are looking for an active family that would be able to provide her with activity, and lots of love. She does fine in or out of the kennel when you are away. She really loves to be with her people as much as possible. She would do well in recreational dog sports, although she is not fast, she loves to learn new things. We are working on befriending cats (the cats are not cooperative), loose leash walking and greeting other dogs. All of these areas are improving slowly. She comes with everything you need for her, leashes, harnesses, kennel, bed, toys treats and more.

Story
Hi! My name is Fiona! My mom says I’m the sweetest little girl. She says I would make an amazing family dog for a family with kids that I can play with. I would thrive in a home that is willing to take the time to train me and make me the best dog ever! I love playing with my foster fur siblings in the backyard and I love playing with toys and playing fetch with my ball. I am getting better at asking to go outside to the bathroom. I can make it through the night without having an accident. I really hope to find a perfect family that will love me and take their time to socialize me and make me the best girl ever! Love, Fiona
