Story
Meet Winston, a 4 month-old Terrier mix with the cutest little face and the most charming personality! This handsome boy has warm caramel-colored fur, floppy ears, sweet dark eyes, and the most adorable little white beard that makes him look like a tiny distinguished gentleman. Put him in a bow tie and suddenly he’s ready for a very important meeting! But don't let his fancy outfit fool you — Winston is a total PLAY GUY! He loves running around outside, playing with his toys, wrestling with his dog friends, and having a good game of tug. He is wonderfully social with other dogs and plays sweetly with his foster siblings. He absolutely loves having canine friends to romp around with. Watch Winston’s video here to see his personality shine! https://youtu.be/U-lCQQjFzw4 Winston is also one smart little cookie. He already knows sit, shake, and lay down, and he has mastered fetch — including the very important part where he actually brings the toy back! He loves learning and is eager to please, so he is going to be such a fun dog to train and grow with. When playtime is over, Winston turns into the sweetest little cuddlebug. He loves his people, enjoys being close, and is always ready for some affection. He is crate trained, potty trained, learning his leash skills, and getting wonderfully socialized in his foster home. Winston has even met his first kitty friend and did wonderfully! He greeted the cat with friendly, playful wiggles and was very interested in making a new friend. Since Winston is a playful puppy, a dog friend would be ideal in a home with a cat so he has a proper playmate to romp with. He could absolutely thrive in an apartment with enough exercise, enrichment, and playtime, though a yard would be a fantastic bonus for this little zoomer. Wherever he lives, Winston just wants a family who will let him play, learn, explore, and be their best little sidekick. Smart, silly, cuddly, playful, and sporting the world's cutest puppy beard — Winston is ready to be someone's very best friend! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6a7b46a5830ba4595101793f Questions? Story
Meet Amber Amber is a gorgeous 5-month-old wire-haired little girl weighing just 13 lbs. She looks to be a Dachshund/Jack Russell Terrier mix, although we don’t know who her parents are. Despite her young age, Amber is considered full grown and is the perfect little size. Amber had a home of her own, but sadly, once she outgrew the “cute puppy” stage, her previous owner decided they no longer wanted her. She was surrendered to our rescue and, thankfully, is now safe and loved in a foster home. When Amber arrived, she was covered in fleas and ticks. She has come a long way since then and is now showing everyone what a fun, happy, spunky little dog she truly is! Amber is playful, entertaining, affectionate, and full of personality. She loves her toys, loves to play, and absolutely loves being around her people. She is very much a Velcro dog and prefers not to be left alone for long periods. Her ideal family will have plenty of time and love to give her and enjoy having a little shadow following them around. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has been introduced to kitties with no issues. Amber has also met her foster family’s grandchildren and happily runs and plays with them. She would make a wonderful companion for a family with children. Amber is currently working on her house training and crate training, so her new family should be prepared to continue helping her learn. She is smart, eager to please, and still very much a puppy, so she’ll benefit from patience, consistency, and plenty of positive reinforcement. One of Amber’s especially charming qualities is that she doesn’t seem to shed much, making her an even more appealing little companion. Amber would love an active home where she can run, play, explore, and be included in family life. If you’re looking for a fun-loving little dog who will keep you smiling and happily be by your side, Amber may be your girl. Amber is ready for the forever home she deserves — one that will love her through every stage of her life, not just the puppy stage. Amber is current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, and current on de-wormer. PLEASE READ BELOW CAREFULLY: The next step is to apply to adopt you can go to our website at: www.pawsitive-Impact-animal-rescue.org This animal is currently located in Texas, but we do NOT adopt animals in Texas due to the hundreds of animals being euthanized here daily.
