Annabelle came to us after a heartbreaking start to life, having been left abandoned in a home with several other dogs. Because of her past, the world can feel incredibly big and terrifying to her right now. She is looking for a very specific, dedicated hero—someone willing to show her what love, safety, and patience truly mean.
Her Ideal Forever Home
Annabelle isn't a dog who will walk in and immediately curl up on your lap. It will take several months of quiet, routine-based living for her to adjust, decompress, and realize she is finally safe. To help her succeed, her future home must meet the following criteria:
An Adult-Only Sanctuary: Big movements, loud noises, and the unpredictability of children are too much for Annabelle. She needs a quiet, low-traffic home.
No Big Dogs: While she has lived with other dogs before, large canine companions intimidate her. A home with no other pets or a small, calm, indifferent resident dog would be best.
A Secure, Fenced Yard: Annabelle is a severe flight risk when spooked. A home with a securely fenced yard is an absolute requirement so she can safely explore the outdoors without pressure.
A Committed, Patient Adopter: Her ideal human is someone experienced with extreme fearfulness—someone content to let Annabelle set the pace for interaction, celebrating the tiny victories along the way.

Annabelle is a female Cairn Terrier/Yorkie/mix who was was born approximately6-15-24 and weighs 18 lbs. She is spayed & vaccinated. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
