Meet Buttercup: A Gentle Soul with a Heart Full of Love
Look at that sweet, scruffy smile! Buttercup is just as precious as her name implies. Found as a stray, she is experiencing the "good life" for the very first time in her foster home. Every day is an exciting new first for her—discovering how delicious treats are, learning to love walks, and realizing that a warm bed and a soft touch are things she can count on.
Because the big wide world can still feel a bit overwhelming, Buttercup is looking for a specific kind of home where she can truly blossom at her own pace.
My Ideal Home Vibe:
Peace & Quiet: I thrive in a low-key, calm environment. Think reading a book by the fireplace or quiet afternoons in the garden. Loud, chaotic environments or busy households scare me, so I’m looking to avoid the "monster truck rally" lifestyle.
Fenced Yard Required: I absolutely love to burn off energy with my daily zoomies! A securely fenced yard is a must so I can romp safely.
Kids: While I am happy to greet polite, respectful children, I wouldn't do well living with young, high-energy kids. Chill teenagers who just want a couch cuddle buddy would be a great fit!
Animal Friends:
Dogs: A total social butterfly! I love all my foster siblings and would absolutely love to have a playful big brother or sister in my forever home to help show me the ropes.
Cats: I’m mostly indifferent to them, though my foster mom’s big cat does scare me a little bit, so a dog-savvy or calm feline would be best.
Smart & Eager to Learn: Don't let my shy side fool you—I am incredibly smart. I mastered the doggy door almost instantly! I am still working hard on my potty training, but because I am so eager to learn and highly motivated, I'm making great progress every day.

Buttercup is a female mystery breed....she looks like a miniature Yellow Lab, but since there is no such thing, we are going to call her a Border Terrier/All-American Rescue mix. She was was born approximately 5-25-24 and weighs 19 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and given flea/tick preventative. Adoption fee is $475 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
