Story
(DOB 04/15/2025) Meet Flower — a tiny, tender-hearted soul looking for her person.
At just 8 pounds, Flower is a petite little lady with the sweetest underbite and big, expressive eyes that will absolutely melt you. She’s incredibly quiet (you will rarely hear her bark!) and has a gentle, sensitive nature. Flower is very submissive and thrives in calm, predictable environments where she feels safe and secure.
What Flower wants most in the world is constant companionship. She’s a true lap dog and loyal shadow, happiest when she’s right by your side. Because of this, she will need a home with a human who works from home or stays home—being alone isn’t her jam. She bonds deeply with her person and blossoms when she knows she’s not going to be left behind.
Flower would do best in a home with older, respectful kids only. She can be a bit of a nervous nelly, and the fast movements and unpredictability of young children would be overwhelming for her. She also needs a securely fenced yard, or better yet, a home committed to leash walks for all potty breaks and exercise. If startled, Flower could try to bolt, so careful supervision is essential to keep her safe.
Give her time to trust, and you’ll see her personality shine—when relaxed, Flower can be surprisingly funny and playful, showing off her agility and silly antics. She’s also very food motivated, which makes building confidence and continuing her learning a rewarding experience for both of you.
She was a stray running around in the wilderness for a few weeks, so she is still getting accustomed to indoor living and learning the ropes of house training. She will benefit a consistent routine and patience and understanding. She genuinely wants to please her people, so a gentle approach to training is best.
