Gadget is not just a dog — he is a lifestyle. A refined, slightly bougie young man who expects the finer things: plush beds, warm laps, soft blankets, and unwavering devotion. After a previous hip surgery, Gadget believes comfort isn’t a want… it’s a human responsibility. And frankly? He’s right.
His ideal crowd? Seniors.
Yes, seniors. He adores the “old people smell,” leisurely schedules, and that glorious retirement time where the attention is unlimited and snacks appear magically. Widowed and looking for your next great love? Bachelor hoping to impress the ladies with your emotionally available lap dog? Older gal who enjoys lounging with a premium lap warmer? Congratulations — Gadget has been waiting for you.
He’s got manners too. Gadget knows sit, come, and lay down, is house trained, and only asks for more frequent potty breaks because… well… tiny bladder, big personality. No judgment here.
A fenced yard is preferred — not because he’s naughty, but because the world is fascinating and there’s simply too much to sniff, observe, and maybe taste. He enjoys light activity: zooming around the yard or a casual twice-daily walk is plenty. He’s more of a “Netflix and nap” kind of guy.
Speaking of lounging — Gadget’s happy place is snuggled on the couch watching TV. If you’re binge-watching, he’s binge-snuggling.

• Hip supplements are REQUIRED — because his health matters and he expects you to take that seriously

Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.
The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a physical location where you can stop by to visit the animals - we require the completion of an Adoption Request Form prior to meeting any of our adoptable pets in foster care.
