Story
Meet Whitman At just 10 weeks old, this fluffy Border Collie / Great Pyrenees mix is already mastering the art of melting hearts on sight. With his cloud-soft coat, soulful eyes, and gentle curiosity about the world, Whitman is the kind of puppy who makes every ordinary moment feel a little more special. Whitman is still very much a baby, which means he’s soaking up everything around him like a tiny, four-pawed sponge. He’s learning the basics of puppy life, exploring new sights and sounds, and figuring out how fun toys, treats, and humans can be. With the intelligence of a Border Collie and the calm, steady nature often seen in Great Pyrenees, he’s expected to grow into a loyal, devoted companion who loves both playtime and peaceful lounging near his people. Like all young pups, Whitman will need a family ready to guide him through training, socialization, and all the important “growing up” milestones. Consistency, patience, and lots of love will help him blossom into the wonderful dog he’s meant to be. He’ll likely grow into a larger dog, so he’d do best with adopters prepared for big cuddles, big loyalty, and a big presence in their lives. If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and seriously snuggly best friend to grow up alongside your family, Whitman is ready to start his next chapter with you. Come meet Whitman and see just how quickly he makes himself at home in your heart. If interested, please complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Our $295 adoption fee includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
