Story
Sweet GSD, male,5 to 6 years old Please email Veronica@bammrescuepdx.org for more information  Meet Maze A stunning approximately 80 pound German Shepherd, possibly a wolf mix. We can’t say for certain what his mix is, but we can say he is an incredibly special dog and a very rare find in rescue. He is potty trained, crate trained, leash trained, people friendly, and dog friendly. For a dog who has spent time in boarding, Maze has an impressive foundation and is very eager to learn. As with any German Shepherd, proper introductions with other dogs are important. He absolutely loves playing ball and fetch and is both treat and ball motivated, which makes training with him fun and rewarding. He is smart, attentive, engaged with his person, and genuinely enjoys interacting and working with you. Maze has a wonderful balance of confidence, playfulness, affection, and intelligence. He isn't just a beautiful dog to look at. He's the kind of dog who has the potential to become an incredible companion for someone who enjoys an intelligent, interactive dog. Treats should be given with a flat hand because this big guy doesn't always seem to know exactly where the snack ends and your fingers begin! Because of his size and enthusiasm for treats, no small children. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal so he has room to play ball and enjoy himself. We are also looking for a home where he will truly be part of the family rather than kenneled or crated for several hours every day. Maze is beautiful, social, affectionate, playful, intelligent, and eager to please. For someone looking for a large, trainable German Shepherd type dog with so many of the hard parts already behind him, Maze is an extremely rare find in rescue. ##2667034##

Story
Chippy is a 7-month-old Afghan Hound puppy who weighed 40 pounds last time he was weighed and is still growing! He is expected to reach 50–60 pounds when fully grown. This goofy, fun-loving boy is sure to keep you smiling with his silly puppy antics. Chippy loves playing with toys, romping around with other dogs, and is always ready for his next adventure. Like any young puppy, Chippy is still working on his house training and crate training. He's highly food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and should make training a rewarding experience. Chippy gets along wonderfully with other dogs, though he doesn't always realize just how big he is! Because he is not yet comfortable walking on a leash, Chippy REQUIRES a securely fenced yard where he can safely exercise and explore. Sighthound experience preferred. To adopt this handsome boy, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org His adoption fee is $650, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, and deworming.

Story
Sylvie is a gorgeous 2-year-old, 50 lb Afghan Hound who has been officially declared “a certified good girl” by our vet, and who are we to argue? Unlike some Afghans who prefer to admire their people from afar, Sylvie loves attention and will happily come over to request some affection. She enjoys a good sprint around the yard, then comes right back to check in with her favorite person. Walks, toys, playtime, and simply hanging out together are all high on her list of favorite activities. True to her Afghan nature, Sylvie is smart, curious, and always looking for fun. She can be a little mischievous in her quest for a good time, but her playful personality is sure to keep you laughing. She learns quickly, though, like any independent thinker, she may occasionally decide she has a better idea than the one you had! Sylvie is crate trained, doing well with house training, and walks nicely on leash. She has lived with other dogs, but would be happiest as an only dog or in a home with only large male dogs. No cats. If you're looking for a beautiful, clever, affectionate companion with a playful streak and plenty of personality, Sylvie may be your perfect match. Sighthound experience preferred. Please make sure you've researched this breed. To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org Her adoption fee is $600, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, and dental cleaning.

Story
Corvo is a very sweet and chill boy who loves humans and being around his person. He is a 5 year old Lab mix (not sure the other breed but I guessed possible Greyhound), very patient and calm, but also generally pretty active as he loves to run, play fetch and loves his walks, but he's also just fine lazing around too. He is house trained, crate trained, potty trained. He does very well when training and is treat motivated. He also knows a few commands like 'sit', 'chill' (laying down) and 'bed' (his bed). He is good with dogs and cats but he must have a slow introduction to them first. With dogs he'll be very wary and defensive at first, but after a while he'll accept them. Cats he may try to chase so slow introduction is definitely recommended. I'm wanting to rehome because of financial reasons, but I also feel he's not thriving in his living situation and I want him to live somewhere that he can. I feel someone who lives alone and possibly has a backyard would be perfect for him.
