Story
Hello, I'm Chi Chi, a Borzoi and Laika mix girl. My front looks like Laika, but my side looks like a Borzoi. That combination makes me beautiful and mysterious. I like both my doggy friends and people. I like playing with my friends but not too much energetic. I'm living with a lot of friends in Shelter now. I like snacks, but when I eat with my friends, I yeild to friends. So I eat it if you call my name and give me snacks separately. I can walk well in step with people. Start a happy journey with me if you're looking for a beautiful companion with a pure soul and good character intelligence. I'm in a shelter in Korea and ready to fly anywhere in Seattle or Vancouver if you call my name. For more videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLIsLTtIpe3Jyp3LV87pUhrIX9fPKtET-D

Story
Olive is a snuggly, sweet girl who would love to be the center of your world! A major cuddler, two of her favorite things are being directly beside you and being held. And if you're hankering for a lapdog, you're in luck! She is looking for an active household with a fenced yard, where she can get a lot of time walking and running. Do you think maybe she knows her namesake is a plant? She also adores quiet activities in the great outdoors, whether she's lounging in the sunlit grass or sniffing around in the garden. Sometimes, she'll come back inside with a stray flower in her mouth! Full of joy, Olive gets along with just about anyone--even her foster family's cat! Although her puppy playfulness could overwhelm more reserved pets and small children, she would thrive in a home with older children and/or pets that match her energy level. And Olive needs to be adopted by someone who has experience with large dogs and puppies. She is now crate-trained and house-trained, and goes out to potty about every 3 hours. Before coming into the program, Olive had a really rough start. At first, she was even afraid of being on the grass, and unaccustomed to the many delights of living inside with a clean dog bed, great food, and toys, along with people who love her. But always, Olive's true sweet nature has come through, despite her previous horrendous physical condition and challenges to recovery (see the Health and History sections below). Olive was not familiar with leash walking, either, but she is making progress. Her adopter will just need to take it slowly on walks until she feels more comfortable. Olive is extremely curious and playful toward dogs while out and about. So her adopter will also need to keep a safe distance to avoid unpredictable reactions from other dogs who might misinterpret her enthusiasm. Olive sometimes has a mouthy play style, although she is easily redirected. In those cases, you can count on cheese to the rescue! This girl will do almost anything for cheese, or any type of cheese-flavored snack. She gobbles it right up (which is especially handy when you need to mask medication!). If you need an extra boost of happiness in the mornings, Olive is your gal! Without fail, she begins each day with absolute rapture when she's let out of her crate--running and jumping around in ecstasy. She loves playing with her toys, and her goofy expressions are sure to make you smile. Could this sweet, energetic, and outdoorsy darling be the one for you? HISTORY A community member took Olive to a rural shelter after pulling her from a heartbreaking situation. The shelter did not have the resources to treat her and were allowing only 3 days to find a foster. Luckily, her two saviors saw the post about her on the shelter's website, contacted IAR about becoming her fosters, and in two days the rescue was complete and she was ensconced in their home! HEALTH Olive is up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm negative. PHYSICAL Olive has a sleek gray coat with fawn markings on her face and legs. Her puppy-dog eyes and light brows give her such an expressive face!
