Story
This application must be approved online before the pet can be introduced. It is not available to be seen in public areas. If your application is approved, you will be able to come in and meet the dog before making a final decision. Ribbit is an adorable Boston Terrier that weighs about 29 pounds and his estimated date of birth is 9/1/23. He is active and fun-loving and loves interacting with human friends. He does not, however, do well with other animals. He will need to go to an owner with an established veterinarian who is able to provide follow-up care. Because he came in with and was treated for multiple heath issues a mandatory veterinary consult prior to adoption is required. His adoption fee is $100 and not subject to sales. Our adoption fee is $125 for small breed dogs under 20 pounds and $100 for all other dogs and cats unless otherwise noted in their bio. Every pet available for adoption is current on shots spayed/neutered, and microchipped. You may submit an application online for pre-approval and to set an appointment or you can visit the shelter Wednesday - Sunday from 11am - 5pm. Please note that the kennels close for pet viewing at 4:30pm.

Story
Coco and Mugs came to us from the euthanasia list at the Memphis animal Shelter. Their owner surrendered them because they were having a baby. Coco is smaller than she looks in photos, she walks great on a leash, loves belly rubs, and wants to please. She rides great in the car. She is up to date on shots and will be spayed April 8th.

Story
Lizzy is a vibrant and lovable 5-year-old with a personality that shines as bright as her smile. She already knows how to sit, spin, and lay down, and she’s always eager to show off her skills. On walks, Lizzy can get a little excited and may pull on the leash at first, but she quickly settles down and finds her rhythm. Playtime is one of her favorite parts of the day—especially when it involves toys and a good game of tug-of-war. When she’s not playing, Lizzy is happiest curled up in your lap, soaking up all the snuggles she can get. She’s known for being the best kiss giver, always ready to share affection with those she loves. Full of life and joy, Lizzy brings energy and warmth wherever she goes. She absolutely loves her food and never misses a mealtime. With her sweet nature, playful spirit, and heart-melting smile, Lizzy is truly one of a kind.Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.

Story
Meet Ian – Your Slightly Wonky, Totally Wonderful Adventure Buddy If you like piña coladas and getting caught in the rain… Ian might just be your perfect match. This little Boston Terrier mix lives life full throttle—zooming through the yard like he’s racing in the Indy 500, making pit stops in imaginary swamps with Shrek, and embracing every muddy, joy-filled moment along the way (bonus points if you don’t mind getting a little dirty with him). Ian is a young, playful pup with a heart as big as his personality. He came into rescue with a shattered hip that has since healed, leaving him with an adorable “wonky” gait. When he runs, his back leg sometimes flails out to the side—but it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If anything, it just makes him even more unforgettable. Personality & Play Style: Ian is a social, toy-loving goofball who thrives on fun. He always has a toy in his mouth—seriously, always. He’ll take them outside, bring them back in, and politely “check” them at the door until you hand them back. He loves playing with other dogs, especially games of chase and keep-away. After playtime, Ian enjoys winding down with his favorite toy and appreciates a little personal space during his chill time. Because of this, he’d do best with a laid-back, respectful dog companion—especially one around his size or slightly smaller who won’t bother him when he’s relaxing. Snuggles Included: Once the zoomies are out, Ian is all about couch time. He’ll curl up beside you, toy in tow, and drift off while you watch TV. The perfect mix of playful and snuggly. Communication Style (aka his signature move): Ian has the best voice—a raspy, screechy, baby pterodactyl sound that he proudly uses to let you know when he’s ready to come out of his crate or needs a potty break. It’s hilarious, endearing, and very effective. He’ll also quietly go sit by the door, so keep an eye out—he’s a good boy who just needs you to notice his polite signals. Mealtime & Care: Ian is an enthusiastic foodie, so he uses a slow feeder bowl to keep mealtime safe and comfortable. Medical Transparency: Due to his past injury, Ian has diabetes insipidus. The good news: • No injections required • Managed with oral medication twice daily • Just needs a few extra potty breaks His condition is well-managed, and he’s living a happy, active, zoomie-filled life. The Perfect Home for Ian: • An active home that enjoys play, laughter, and a little chaos • A consistent adopter who can manage his simple medical routine • A respectful dog companion—or he’d love being your one and only • Someone who appreciates a quirky, lovable personality Ian isn’t just a dog—he’s an experience. He’ll make you laugh daily, keep life interesting, and then curl up next to you like he’s always belonged there. Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
