Story
Are you looking for your new BFF? Look no further, Peanut might be the girl for you. Peanut came into care very nervous, it took staff a couple weeks to gain her trust. Once she learned that humans were safe, she has truly blossomed. She is very outgoing with people and would do best in a home with another dog to truly help her continue to build her confidence. Smaller cats and dogs she tends to chase and would be best with another canine companion. She bonds very quickly with people, often being referred to as a 'velcro dog' and would love a guardian who works from home full or part time as she has developed separation anxiety when her near and dear are too far away. She LOVES to play with toys, fetch and go on long explores. She travels very well in a vehicle and enjoys meeting and greeting with all humans and dogs on each walk she goes on. Peanut is a bit shy around loud noises and abrupt movements and would be best suited to an adult only home. She is working on her housetraining and hasn't had any accidents over the last week, often asking to go outside to do her business. She is navigating some food sensitivities/allergies and is currently on a special prescription diet that she will need to remain on moving forward. She is also currently on eye medication that will be ongoing until her allergies are sortedPeanut is an absolute snuggler and would crawl into your pocket if it was big enough. If you're looking for a dog who will always be by your side, and is an excellent (and occasionally an obsessive) kisser- Peanut may be for you!Due to the high demand we expect for Peanut, applications will be reviewed in person only. Adoption and viewing hours are 12pm-3pm, Tuesday-Sunday. Primary Color: Chocolate Secondary Color: White Weight: 8.6 Age: 1yrs 2mths 0wks

Story
Introducing Sweet Pea!This lovely, little lady is ready to find her forever home and capture your heart in the process.Sweet Pea is a curious and clever pup who enjoys leisurely strolls (where she can take in all the sites, sounds and sniffs), followed by some snuggle time and a cozy nap.Sweet Pea would thrive in a home where she feels secure, cared for and connected. She loves to follow her human(s) around and her curiosity will get the better of her, checking what you're up to if you're outside of the same room for too long. Sweet Pea doesn't bark, but will growl if she hears an unfamiliar sound. When she does, she's comforted by a few pats and saying, "We're Ok".A clever girl, she's a bit of a Houdini at getting out of pens, harnesses and seat belts. She's quite proud of herself and her ingenuity, which means she's very trainable, and will keep her parents on their toes.A low-maintenance sweetie, her foster family says she brings a big heart, along with lots of kisses and happiness, into their home.Sweet Pea eats three meals a day (with gusto) and currently needs to take drops twice a day for anemia. She's still working on her house/outdoor training but is getting skilled with pee pad usage. Regular outside trips will also help further develop her going-outdoor skills. She has recently been diagnosed with urinary crystals and will need to be on a special urinary diet moving forward to help her with this. Despite these health concerns, she hasn't let this affect her sweet demeanor at all.Regular walks are a chance for Sweet Pea to extensively explore, including a favourite pastime of attempting to chase squirrels, while also enjoying the sound and feel of crunchy leaves underfoot. Not a big fan of baths or heavy rain (drizzle is ok), she is highly motivated by hugs and cuddles (instead of treat-driven).Sweet Pea is best suited to a home where she's the only dog, since she prefers humans over canines. An adult-only home, or one with older children, would be ideal, as she thrives in a calm environment where she can be the recipient of all your love and attention.A sweetheart of a companion, if you're looking for a new cuddle buddy who also loves exploring the big wide world by your side, Sweet Pea is your girl! Sweet Pea is being spayed next week and applications are being approved prior to her appointment. If you are interested in adopting a sweet senior, please send in an application today!
