Story
Hi! My name is Stitch and I’m a loving Boston Terrier looking for my fur-ever home! I absolutely adore people and would make a fantastic companion in a quiet household with no other dogs, cats, or young children under 12 years of age. I love to snuggle, play fetch, travel, shake my butt, kiss my humans, and eat all the treats! I have a very calm and quiet temperament, but I am other-dog reactive, and so I need to be the only dog in the household. I love to go on walks and travel, but I do need to keep my distance from other dogs when out in public as barking or loud noises can make me very nervous. I also know lots of tricks including stay, sit, place, jump, and am very treat motivated to learn more! I’m ready to snuggle up next to you during your next Netflix binge.   The Basics Age: 5 yrs Weight: 22.5 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes Leash Skills: Yes Medical: Requires 1 drop of Diclofenac Sodium in the left eye daily.   Likes/Dislikes Toys: Loves all toys and is gentle with them. Other Animals: Stitch is reactive to other dogs and needs to be the only cat/dog in the household. People/Kids: Stitch loves people. Not suited for a home with small kids (under 12 yrs old). Car Rides: Loves car rides and makes a perfect traveling companion for long trips. Separation: No issues with separation anxiety.   Contact/Application Info Questions? Contact his foster, William, by email at Whill11@fau.edu Current location: Springfield, VA Adoption Fee: $350 Ready to Apply to Adopt? Visit www.bostonterriertn.org! Please use the foster momma or dad's contact information above for questions. The process always begins with an application which can be found at The Boston Terrier Rescue of East Tennessee website Note that in most cases, we do not adopt to families with small children, e.g., 'under 6,' as a precaution to the child's safety and the dog's safety. In some cases with larger Boston mixes or other dogs, we do make exceptions. Please ask the foster momma. We prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to personally drive/fly to get the dog.  The East Coast division (NC/SC/VA/MD/DC) does have special transport capabilties for their kids.   Ask them. Also, submission of an application and fee does not guarantee adoption of any specific Boston since that particular dog may have applications pending or may not be the right match for you.October 1, 2022, 10:21 pm

Story
Edward “Eddie” Elmer is an older Boston Terrier, but does not exactly act his age. He loves a good game of tug of war with stuffed animals and can be a goof ball at times. Eddie is an independent lover boy. He loves to be outside but also enjoys a good scratch on the back. He likes to be in charge at times and needs someone that will continue calm, consistent leadership and make sure he knows he is not the boss. Eddie does not require a lot of attention and he’s typically content laying on the floor beside you.  The Basics Age: Approximately 11 yrs old Weight: Approximately 30 lbs Spayed/Neutered: Yes Microchipped: Yes Vaccines Up-to-Date: Yes On Heartworm Prevention: Yes On Flea/Tick Prevention: Yes House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, but will make noise at the beginning stating he does not like to be in it. He calms down after a few minutes. Leash Skills: Good on leash with a harness. Medical: Takes a daily pill to help with back pain.   Likes/Dislikes: Toys: Loves stuffed animals. Other Animals: Good with other dogs. People/Kids: Good with adults and older kids, not sure how he is with young kids. Car Rides: Loves car rides. Separation: Does not mind being alone.   Contact/Application Info: Questions? Story
Zizou (pronounced Zee-Zoo) came to us as an owner surrender. He's an incredibly sweet boy that gets along with everyone and everything! Zizou is such an easy-going pup and loves to be by your side at all times. Whether cuddling with you on the couch or by your feet working at home. He'll let you know when he needs to go outside (pawing at you) and knows how to use the doggie door. Zizou loves to play with squeaky toys and tennis balls. And LOVES walks! Once he knows the lay of the land he gets around just fine, even with cataracts. But Zizou will need help getting up and down long staircases for his safety but small steps are ok. Not that you'll mind, but Zizou will whine to get up on the bed to snuggle under the covers with you. He's the perfect gentleman and would love a furever home to call his own!The BasicsAge: 10 yearsWeight: 22 lbsSpayed/Neutered: YesMicrochipped: YesVaccines Up-to-Date: YesOn Heartworm Prevention: YesHouse-Trained: YesCrate-Trained: YesLeash Skills: Good, pulls a little but not too bad.Medical: Cataracts in both eyes, arthritis in his back right knee, and a cyst on his back.Likes/DislikesToys: Loves em!Other Animals: Good with both cats and dogs (may try to hump), but is submissive.People/Kids: Good (even with young kids)Car Rides: GoodSeparation: Had some when we first got him (whining and barking). Story
Meet Bleu, a handsome 4-year-old merle French Bulldog weighing 26 pounds who is looking for a very special forever home. This adorable boy is housetrained, has received obedience training, and loves spending time with his people. Bleu's favorite toys are Kong plushies, and he's always happy to carry one around or settle in for some playtime. He gets along well with other dogs but would do best in a home without cats or children. Bleu also has a bite history, so his future family should be experienced, patient, and committed to setting him up for success. Bleu is a smart boy who already has a solid training foundation and thrives with structure and consistency. Once he trusts you, he is a loyal and loving companion who enjoys being part of the family. While he enjoys life to the fullest, Bleu does have Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD), a condition that affects the discs between the vertebrae of the spine. IVDD is common in French Bulldogs and can cause back pain and mobility issues. Fortunately, Bleu has had only one flare-up several months ago and is doing very well now. His future family will need to be mindful of activities that could put stress on his back, such as jumping on and off furniture or climbing stairs frequently. Bleu's adoption donation is $400, which covers his neuter, vaccinations, and microchip. Because Bleu is currently in foster care, an approved application is required prior to scheduling a meet and greet. If you're interested in making Bleu a part of your family and giving him the loving home he deserves, please visit https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/adoption-information.html to learn more and submit an application. Bleu is searching for a home that understands his needs and will appreciate the wonderful dog he is. In return, he'll offer loyalty, companionship, and plenty of love for years to come. 🐾💙 https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p307/Bleu.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida.
