This is a Scrungus. You remember your great uncle Ed thrice removed? The one who was constantly suckin’ down pork rinds and chain smokin’ cheap cigarettes? He doesn’t give a got-damn bout nothin.’ And why should he? He’s bout half dead anyways. Like Uncle Ed (who called himself Pappy - pronounced Papp*ehy* like any good ole’ country pops) is much like our dear old Scrungus. Scrungus loves downin’ drinks at VFW but like most beer-bellied gramps, he can’t hold his licker. He is indeed “bout dead,” but he’ll provide knee-slapping jests for anyone willing to listen (granted, he will bark up the same story thee or four times - you know, the one about the boys back in ‘Nam?) Scrungus might look a little rough around the edges - and his dentures sure have seen better days - but he’s got a lot of love to give. He’s looking for a foster or adopter willing to love his balding head for however long he’s got left. Or, like he says, “whenever the good Lord takes me.” Apply to meet this boy. He won’t always hear you coming (damn VA won’t replace his hearing aids) but he’ll always crack a big grin when he sees ya 🖤
