Story
Pitabelle - quite a Little Diva - a cutie patootie ! Her owner died and was moved from home to home until she found ARF! WHY - Because she is deaf (common on BT born with white fur) & her dislike for cats & large dogs. She is house broken, loves to hoard stuffed toys, and is a major counter surfer. Pitabelle can jump (all 4 feet off the ground) and grab a napkin, paper plate, etc from the edge of a counter - she can jump quite high! Its hysterical to watch her & then achieve her goal. She would love to be the only Diva - a retired couple and a work from home parent. She get lonely without a hooman & sometimes barks to be sure she isn't alone. Totally does not like cats - inside or outside ! Not really a big dog lover either. One or two small dogs to play zoomies with is plenty - unless they try to take her toys - then watch out - she will seek and retrieve her toys! lol A fenced in yard is a must - she could easily lose her way and can't hear someone calling for her. So if this Diva sounds like a gem - she is! Already spayed, utd on vaccines - just waiting on her furever home!

Story
Meet Lucy Lil Lucy is a ball of energy and full of love. This little darling is a joy to be around. She is one of the happiest young dogs we have. We rescued Lucy from a high kill shelter when her time was up due to space limitations. She is just precious. Lucy loves everyone she meets and other dogs. She doesn’t like cats so much though. She can be a bit chatty. She doesn’t want to be ignored or miss out on fun and affection. She is incredibly smart. She is a pleaser and listens to direction and takes guidance very well. She learns quickly. Lucy is petite at just 30 lbs. She looks to have some terrier in her maybe Boston terrier, mixed with Australian Cattle dog or beagle perhaps? She’s a little beauty with her glossy brownish/black coat, warm brown eyes, athletic build and happy demeanor. Lucy engages with people and warms up quickly. Fun is fun! She walks well on a leash but can be a little pully. She is energetic and wiggly. A fenced yard will be a must to keep her safe. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, gentle and snuggly, when she is ready to settle in. We just love everything about her. Lucy will be a terrific companion for an active family. She will not be happy in a sedentary family. She likes to play and explore, especially at this young stage of her life. If looking for a lifelong companion, full of fun and love, Lucy is a great girl. If interested in welcoming Lucy to your heart and home, please submit an application online at: www.charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org. Please use the downloadable application found on our homepage. Please email our shelter (smithgallhumanesociety@windstream.net) to make sure we received your application. All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out-of-state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship, nor do we transport them to their new homes. Adoption policies and application procedures are detailed at the shelter website: http://charlessmithgallhumanesociety.org/ under tab All Adoptable Animals.

Story
A VERY SWEET ‘SPECIAL NEEDS’ GUY:  Approx. 13 years old / Approx. 27 lbs. Hi, my name is Tony!  I had a home, but – sadly – my owner passed away.  Fortunately, I made my way to Mostly Mutts and am spending time in a great foster home now.  I am ready to find a new home where I can love and be loved by my new family!  I needed bloodwork done before my eye removal and neuter surgery, and I've had that now thanks to a generous grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization! • OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I’ve been great with the other dogs in my foster home and even share dog beds with them.  I WILL try to investigate the food bowls of others at mealtime, so monitoring is best during feeding.  I’d likely enjoy a gentle dog in my new home to casually pal around with, so if you have a nice doggie at home, let’s meet! / I pretty much ignore the cats in my foster home. But – as with my doggie friends, I will try to help clean the kitty food bowls – lol.  All cats are different, so I’m not sure how I would be with another cat. / I have been just wonderful with the kids (age 10 and 13) who visit my foster home.  Children in my new home may be nice, but best they are old enough to respect my limited sight and deafness, and – of course, let’s meet!  • PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  When describing my super sweet personality, my foster says I am ‘an absolute lovebug’ to all people I’ve met while with them.  I’m pretty much their shadow throughout the day and – though I do some vocalizing when separated from my people, I’ve never been destructive in my foster home.  I would like a stay-at-home or work-from-home family member like I have in my foster home to be my happiest.  A happy guy that doesn't seem to let anything break my stride, I’ll occasionally show a pep in my step and channel my playful side, but I mostly just want to collect the love.  Since I don’t hear, I’ll need my family to make sure I’m kept safe from danger that I would otherwise hear, and my sight is a bit limited, though I do still see out of my remaining eye pretty well – over time that may or may not diminish. / My energy level is 3-5. • SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I am deaf, so my foster family uses hand gestures to get me to come to them. / I’ve not been crated in my foster home and have not needed a crate. / I do great on a schedule with my potty manners, and I'll sometimes go to a door when I need to go outside.  My foster is working with me on correcting some marking indoors. • LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love to hang out with my people and get snuggles whenever possible.  My foster keeps a dog bed near them while they work, and I am super content to hang out there – just to be near them.  I’m also very food motivated – mealtime is a favorite of mine.  Another fun pastime is walking around the garden area sniffing everything.  I may be deaf and be missing an eye, but my nose works just fine, as I enjoy exploring all the smells with my sniffer. / Other than not liking to be away from people, I can’t think of any dislikes, though I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love and attention in my senior years. • MEDICAL:  I'm current on annual vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.  I only have a few teeth left, but that’s ok - I can eat just fine.  Since I’m an older fellow, keeping me on a good over the counter joint supplement called Cosequin is always a good idea.   I am looking for a loving home with a family who will open their hearts to a sweet senior for life!  My adoption fee is $100.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.  November 5, 2025, 7:58 am

📌 Important Adoption Information All of our dogs are currently living in private shelters or foster homes in South Korea. Once an adoption is approved, dogs will travel to the United States through legal and approved international transport procedures. Video calls are available prior to adoption, and adopters can communicate with our rescue team in real time through our official organization and app-based messaging channels throughout the process. • Rescue Story: She was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea in 2022. She ended up at a high-kill shelter but was thankfully rescued just in time. Since then, she’s been living in a private shelter with many other dogs, charming everyone with her affectionate personality. Now, she’s ready to find a forever family of her own! • Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Goofy Moana is truly one of a kind. She quickly won the hearts of volunteers with her gentle, loving nature. She follows people around like a little shadow, happily greeting everyone—even strangers—with tail wags and affection. Moana thrives on human interaction and loves tug-of-war, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. Her energy level is moderate, making her a great balance of playful and calm. • Affinity with - Dogs: Moana is incredibly social—not just with people, but with dogs, too. She’s often the first to welcome new arrivals at the shelter, helping them feel safe and at ease. While she would thrive as the only dog in the home, Moana also does best with calm dog companions. - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / She hasn’t been tested with cats or kids, but based on her gentle demeanor, we believe she’d do well with respectful children. • Walking Manners: Moana has also started practicing her leash skills and is doing great! She may pull a little at times, but overall, she walks well and is eager to please. • Housetrained: As she’s lived in a shelter, Moana will need some house-training in a home setting. • Bathing/Brushing: She’s tolerant of baths and grooming. • Car Sickness: She’s curious and alert during car rides, taking in the world around her. • Separation Anxiety: Zero. • Barks/Howls: Very quiet • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 5 • Likes/Dislikes: She loves affection & treats! • Health: Moana finished her heartworm treatment in Oct 2024 and is in great health. She underwent successful surgery for an inguinal hernia in Mar 2025 and has fully recovered. She has a clean bill of health and is ready for her new adventure! (Her two front bottom teeth are missing) 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Your support directly helps us continue rescuing and caring for dogs in need, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
