RockyBoston Terrier / Golden Retriever mix6 years old 50 poundsHi, I’m Rocky! I’m a 6-year-old Boston Terrier/Golden Retriever mix with a sweet personality and a love for the simple things in life. And before anyone asks… yes, that really is my breed mix. We didn’t make that up! My previous owners actually knew both of my parents, so apparently Boston Terrier + Golden Retriever equals… me.I came to the shelter because I struggle a bit with anxiety, and the shelter has been helping me out with medication while I adjust. Even though it’s a busy place, I’ve actually settled into the routine pretty well.Since I’m a bit of a mature gentleman these days, a quieter home would suit me best. I’m very housebroken and can hold it for long periods, which my humans seem pretty impressed by.When I first meet new people I can get a little nervous and might submissively pee, but once I realize you’re my friend, I’m a very loving and loyal guy. I just need a little time to warm up.I love going on long walks to stretch my legs and enjoy getting outside. I also know a couple commands like sit and shake, so I’ve got some manners under my belt.I previously lived with another dog and enjoyed having a buddy around to hang out with. At about 50 pounds, I’m a nice medium-sized guy who could fit into just about any calm household.If you’re looking for a sweet, gentle companion who just needs a little patience and understanding, I might be your guy.
