Story
History: Madeline is a beautiful girl who needed a second chance at a good life. She quickly wriggled her way into our hearts with how sweet and loving she is and she would make a great addition to a lucky home of her own soon! A Note from the Foster: Madeline is one of the most joyful fosters we’ve had. She literally smiles. I’ve had several boston terriers and she is a chunky monkey. She does great riding in the car and just sleeps on the seat next to me. She’s very eager to meet you and lick your hand but gets a little timid when you try to pet her. She’s warmed up A LOT and let’s me scratch her head and her butt (she loves that). She slept in the crate for the first few nights but has since earned her spot in bed. She’ll still go in her crate when we leave the house and she cries like a baby (literally) at first but then settles right down. She is VERY food motivated so she will be easy to train. She stands on her back legs to let you know she’s eager to learn. We’ve gotten good at waiting for a snack but sometimes food is all she can think about. If you approach her slowly she let’s you pick her up and carry her around. She’s learning that picking her up usually ends in something good like snuggles or a car ride. She loves the outdoors and runs around in our fenced yard. She hasn’t learned how to do stairs yet so I have to carry her to the grass and up the stairs in the house. We’re working on figuring out how to maneuver the stairs but so far nothing is sinking in. If I put her on the leash she fights it, but if I drop the leash she’ll walk by my side no problem. She is working on potty training but has a ways to go. She likes to mark which is hard for a foster home with dog smells everywhere. She’ll piddle on a pad and she corrects quickly if you give her a little noise. Her twosies are the stinkiest of anything I’ve ever seen 😊 Haha, but she does her best to do it outside or on the pad. She spins a lot and whimpers when she’s going to potty so if you keep an eye on her you’ll know when to take her out. It might take some time but I do think she’ll get there eventually. She does seem to have some issues with her back leg. The vet will have to give us more information but when her back leg is bothering her she’s still a pretty fast tripod. She runs around until it doesn’t hurt anymore which takes about 3 minutes. She’s never cried or winced in pain when it happens. She’s a great dog! She is learning all about belly rubs in the morning and sleeps at my office all day. She is great with my other dog (cavalier) and has even tried to play with her once. I think she’ll learn to like dog toys with time. I would keep her if my mission in life wasn’t to foster dogs. She’s definitely a keeper!

To apply for a dog from All Dog Rescue, please fill out our online application at www.AllDogMN.org.  All Dog Rescue only adopts to homes within 60-miles of the Twin Cities. Visit our FAQ page to learn why. Meet Kirby! This wonderful, friendly 5-month-old pup is looking for his forever home.Kirby loves playing with other dogs and would be happiest with a canine companion. He also enjoys adventures and makes a great travel buddy. Walks? He has a bit of a love/hate relationship with them&#194&#151he won't be too disappointed if he skips one, but he still needs exercise. What he does love is spending time outside!Kirby is fully deaf and has experienced two seizures, most likely related to his deafness. He now takes an inexpensive medication three times a day and has had no further issues. The seizures may be temporary, or they could continue as he grows&#194&#151it's just too soon to tell. What's most important is that his forever family can provide a supportive environment for his deafness (using hand signals and plenty of patience!) while also keeping an eye on his health. This smart boy is already picking things up quickly! He knows how to sit&#194&#151especially for food&#194&#151and has learned signs for 'let's go/come,' 'food,' 'outside,' 'stay,' and 'potty.' While walks aren't his favorite, he's making steady progress with leash training and does well when he sees other dogs or people&#194&#151curious but calm.Kirby is also learning crate training. During the day, he does well and will happily go inside, though he may bark when he's ready to come out. At night, he still prefers to snuggle with the pack, especially now that he's more potty trained. Speaking of which&#194&#151he's doing great with house training! He occasionally has an accident but has even started going to the door when he needs to go outside.Something Kirby absolutely loves? Snuggles! He's happiest when curled up with his humans, playing with doggy friends, chewing sticks in the yard, or simply being close by. Because he's deaf, a fenced yard will be important for his safety while exploring outside.Kirby's perfect match will be someone who loves snuggles as much as he does and is also committed to ongoing training. Learning new signs has helped him blossom, and continuing that training will only make him more confident and connected to his people. This sweet, goofy boy is ready to bring joy, cuddles, and companionship to his forever family.November 18, 2025, 11:01 am

Hi! My name is Winston! My brother (Riley) and I were found running the streets of Universal City. We are approximately a year old. I am the big brother. We were both really scared. We have been with our foster mommy for a couple of days now. I am gradually coming out of my shell. I am still a little timid. I will come over and want pets and get up in your lap, but I'm not quite ready yet. But that will not stop me from nipping at your toes!!! I do it playfully to get your attention. Remember, I am still a puppy with a lot of puppy energy and puppy traits!! So, please be patient with me. I love toys!!! I will take out all of the toys out of the toy box until I find the perfect toy!!! I like to make it snow as well!! Did you know it can snow in your living room? Let me demonstrate for you. I love to play with my brother and foster siblings. One of my favorite games is chase. I am also a talker!!! We both have the cutest underbite!!! Story
Looking for a little dog with a lot of heart? Meet Ian! This pint-sized black and white pup is living proof that a broken hip and medical needs do not mean a broken spirit! Ian's hip has healed but he is on daily meds for a medical condition, Diabetes insipidus. Despite it all, Ian is fun, boisterous, and full of playful energy that is absolutely contagious. Ian may be small, but he has a big love for life. He thrives on attention and is constantly looking for a game of seek with his toys or a good cuddle session. He plays well with other dogs, making him a great potential new sibling for your current furry friend. When it comes to his favorite things, toys rank high on the list, and food is right up there too; he's happily not picky about his meals... He eats from a slow feeder bowl to make sure he doesn't get too overzealous with his meals and is able to digest well. Ian is looking for a loving home where his joyful personality can shine and he can get the care and affection he deserves. Are you ready to give this resilient, playful boy a chance at a happy forever home? Basic Info: Male, 1 yr old Boston Terrier/Chihuahua Coat: Black and White UTD on shots and parasitic preventatives. Diabetes Insipidus: affects urine concentration, requires twice daily meds to maintain healthy urine and for bladder contraction to aid in fully emptying the bladder Local adoption fee (Texas) - $200 Out of state adoption (includes transport to your area) ‐ $450

We have been with our foster mommy for a couple days now. I am gradually coming out of my shell. I will come over to foster momma and want to be picked up and petted, sometimes I make it a game and will play shy, but then give in and let her pick me up to relax in her lap. Sometimes I even jump up in her lap and demand attention! If I do not get it, I will swat at her with my paw until she pays attention to me! I love toys and playing with my brother. I also have foster brothers and sisters that are my size and bigger than me. I am working on potty training. I am a very fast learner. I should master that very quickly! I like to explore the backyard. I am still a puppy with lots of puppy energy. I am kennel trained. Foster momma says I have the cutest underbite. I love to run and play, when I am done, I like to either lay down on the couch next to momma or even go and lay in my bed wherever that may be. Momma placed my bed while she was cleaning my kennel and that did not stop me from getting into my bed. I climbed on top of the kennel and decided to take a power nap! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Meet Muslin, a sensitive soul with the sweetest heart once you earn his trust. This handsome Frenchton has had a rough start and is still learning that the world can be a kind, gentle place—but with patience, love, and consistency, he blossoms into the most loyal little companion. Muslin needs a calm, predictable home where he can decompress and take things at his own pace. He’s nervous with new people, loud noises, and sudden movements, so he’ll do best with someone who understands that trust is something to be earned, not rushed. Once he feels safe, though, his true personality shines—he becomes playful, goofy, and affectionate, showing off his silly side and even getting the zoomies around the yard. He’s fully potty trained and very smart—he’ll bark to let you know when it’s time to go outside, when he’s hungry, or if his water bowl needs refilling. Muslin loves bones, toys, and cheese (his favorite treat!), and he enjoys roaming a fenced yard where he can explore freely.  He also really loves belly rubs.  And, be forewarned that he is a sock thief!  He just loves them.   He’s crate trained but may bark a bit before settling down, and he’s still working on feeling comfortable on a leash. Because he can be fearful, a secure fenced yard is a must, and he’d prefer a quieter home without small children. Muslin may take a few days to warm up, but once he chooses you, he’ll love you with his whole heart. If you’re the kind of person who finds joy in helping a shy dog discover safety, comfort, and trust, Muslin will repay your kindness a hundred times over. Please note that some of our dogs are obtained from shelters, surrendered to our care, or released from breeders. Each animal's bio is based on our experience of the animal within our care, an educated guess based on physical characteristics, temperament and information shared. Each dog receives basic grooming when coming into rescue, but for some dogs they have not received grooming attention until recently and grooming may be required shortly after adoption. This will be at the adopter’s expense, so we encourage you to research the breed and be prepared for grooming expenses. Underdog cannot guarantee hypoallergenic or non-shedding qualities of any dogs in our rescue. Some of the animals come from situations where they are lacking experience in a home and confidence in humans. In turn, they require another companion dog and/or a fenced in yard in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog whose bio states those needs and do not currently have them, please understand that your home might not be the right fit. Please use the filter on our Adoptable Dogs page to find the perfect match for your home.  Bulldogs, pugs, and Boston terriers, Brussels Griffons, Pekingese and others are a member of the Brachycephalic breed and therefore have a host of health issues that may arise.  Because these dogs are new into our rescue, health issues in the future may arise that we are not aware of.  Some of these issues are allergies, eye issues, yeast infections, interdigital cysts, slipped disks in their back, breathing problems, among a host of others that can occur at any time or when seasons change. While breed experience is not required, we encourage you to thoroughly research the breed and its financial, medical, and environmental needs to be sure this breed is a good fit for you and your family.  It is estimated that the average brachycephalic breed owner spends $2,000 per year on medical needs. In addition to other surgeries, this dog may have had surgery on their nares and soft palate to improve the quality of their breathing.  This will be partially reflected within her adoption fee. These breeds are one of the most expensive dogs to own, maintain, and rescue and our adoption fees reflect such expenses.  The application process for these breeds usually moves quite quickly as they are a popular breed, so we ask that adopters do research and be prepared for adoption at the time you submit your application.  They are happy, goofy, playful characters and we are excited you are taking the first steps into rescuing one!   This dog requires a separate application and an application fee.  This fee must be paid within 24 hours or your application will be considered void.    We will not review or contact applicants that have not completed the payment portion. This dog requires a Bulldog Application.  All applications will be responded to within 5 business days, after receipt of the application fee.  Please understand that paying the fee does not guarantee you will be approved to adopt the bulldog. Our goal is place bulldogs in homes that are suited for their individual needs. You may be willing and able to provide a great home, but if it doesn’t meet the specific needs of the bulldog, we will not approve your application. To learn more, visit  https://underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/bulldogs/ to fill out the Bulldog application. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <inquiries@underdogrescuemn.com> ADOPTION EVENTS:      Adoption events are updated at the top of each dogs animals' as their foster home signs up. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. If an event is not listed within their bio above, the animal is not planning to attend.  Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. We recommend filling out an application and we will set up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption, but each bio is written by the foster as they see them, in their home. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality, but it cannot be guaranteed. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves in time and with patience.  If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.
